Rainbow Dash was just minding her business one sunny summer day as she walked around the grounds of Ponyville. She came home to find a set of 3 emails sent by Scootaloo, all containing nothing but jumbled letters and the words "taking me", "help", "orphanage". Concerned by the emails, Dash runs crazily all around town looking for the filly and and anypony who might have the slightest clue of her whereabouts. She is only met with dazed looks from the patrons of Ponyville, with not even Applebloom and Sweetie Belle knowing anything. She returns homey to find a single message on her phone. The message is a stallion describing in detail the fact that they have little Scootaloo, and will kill the poor filly if their demands are not met. How far will and can Rainbow Dash go to save her beloved Scootaloo? Will her little "sister" be gone forever?

It's a very important day for Rainbow Dash, and all she has to do is bake a cake. The only problem is, she's never baked a cake before.

After a bit of prodding from her friends, Scootaloo has decided that it's high time she learned to fly, with none other than Ponyville's premiere flyer as her instructor.

There's a lot to be learned about oneself and others when trying to get your hooves off the ground.

After being brutally rejected by Rainbow Dash once again, Scootaloo is left distraught. that is until a kinder pegasus comes into her life and shows her some compassion.

The time is ten years later. Rainbow Dash has joined up with the Wonderbolts. She is enjoying her new life of high speed flying and dangerous aerial manoeuvres, but it has left her for little time for anything else. While stationed near Ponyville, she gets some time off and opts to head back to town to get caught up with old friends. She comes across Scootaloo, who has come across hard times in the last few years. The reunion of friends gets emotional when Rainbow Dash makes an unintended discovery. It's going to take Rainbow Dash to remind Scootaloo what's really important in life.

She lived in a city of clouds, yet could not fly. She was surrounded by caretakers and foster families, yet felt alone. She saw other foals get new toys and sweets aplenty, yet got scolded if she complained about the meals she got. The orange and violet foal gladly left it all behind. With even her name cast away, she struggles to build a new life on her own terms.

When you two have nothing in common, it's always hard for someone to see you as someone to be admired, but that won't stop you from trying.

Scootaloo is a young filly who's wings are still pre-flight, leaving her stuck safely on the ground. With some help she pushes herself to finally gain Rainbow Dash's attention. When things don't go as planned she may find another hero in her quest to belong. Will Rainbow Dash help the filly before its too late? With the assistance of some very interesting ponies the assortment of Equestria's most prized pegasi learn a few things about what friends are really there for.

With Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle gone over the Summer with their sisters, how will Scootaloo cope? As Scootaloo finishes the latest meeting of the official Rainbow Dash Fan Club, she gets a visit from Rainbow Dash, who is unfortunately late to the party. After a short talk, and a confession from Scootaloo, Rainbow Dash decides to train Scootaloo herself. Scootaloo's adventures over the Summer are filled with surprise, disappointment, entertainment, and more!

After being ridiculed for so long for not being able to fly, and after trying again and again, Scootaloo tries to end it all. Rainbow Dash sees this and tries to help out her number one fan, who means so much more to her than she realized.
