Nightmare Moon, now dubbed Mære by Princess Luna, has decided to begin the life of a helper, rather than the life of a monster. Luna believes that she can start by saving ponies from their nightmares, but without her horn, Mære is unable to enter dreams. Luna takes matters into her own hooves, and uses her own magic to take Mære along with her to the realm of dreams. The two begin searching for a target, and immediately find an option.

Everypony knows which princess watches over their dreams. She is the one who they pray to every night, wishing for their rest to bring comfort rather than suffering.

One night, other duties exhaust her ahead of time, and the princess falls asleep on the job. Nopony is there to watch over her.

An immortal's demons never die.

Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle have a private meeting during the Royal Nightmare Night Party.

A long time ago, things were different under the Princesses. While Celestia tried her hardest to keep things running during the day, Luna indulged in her love of fillies all night, and eventually the conflict would cause one sister to be exiled while the other had to carry on alone for a thousand years. Even after the Princess of the Night returned, her sister had to explain to her that times had changed, and her indulgences were unhealthy and unacceptable.

Fluttershy remembers the kisses she'd shared over her lifetime, reflecting on the different circumstances and how she'd grown as a pony.
