Princess Twilight has found a way to summon Daring Do from the pages of one of her own books! This seems like a wonderful thing, but there's something wrong. Daring has opinions. She's thinking independently. She's self aware, and she doesn't want to disappear.

Daring Do is alive. That wasn't supposed to happen, and it complicates things. As Twilight heads off to engage her royal peers in an ethical debate over this issue, Daring is left to her own devices, wondering whether she'll even be allowed to live.

It was a week before Nightmare Night, when Rarity decided to take a trip to Canterlot.

And while there, she meets a sweet, classy mare with a prismatic mane, and a habit of saying "Darling". But there's something about her that she finds just too familiar.

And as she'll learn, maybe there's more to this familiarity than meets the eye.

Less than 24 hours live and this story has set three milestones for me. This is the first time I've had a story of mine be top of the Featured list, the first time I've had a story of mine get over 100 Likes, and the first time that a story of mine has reached over 1,000 views.

For almost a millennium, Princess Celestia had nopony to spend her Hearth's Warming with. All the castle staff and the Royal Guard go home to their families, her students go on holiday break from the school... but as a lone ruler, who does she have to share the holiday with? For the longest time, the answer was 'nopony.'

But not anymore.
