Twilight and Sunset decided to join a playgroup so their daughter can socialize with other babies her age. However, the appearance of old friends spark an unnecessary competition.

Twilight and Sunset had planned for a quiet night in watching movies together. But once Twilight discovers something odd in Sunset's bathroom it leads to an...interesting conversation.

Starlight Glimmer is the best thing to ever happen to me. She's by my side through thick and thin, and whatever hardships we face, we always face them together. She's an amazing mare and an amazing friend, one who inspires me to be the best Trixie I can be. And in turn, I push her to believe in herself as much as she believes in me. Twilight will never hear me say this, but she's right, friendship absolutely can be magic.

But I want more than just friendship, than being besties. I know it's crazy—she's leagues above me! But I don't care. Tonight, I tell her the truth. Tonight, I'm going to say the three most terrifying words in the Equish language.

Stars help me, I am not drunk enough for this!

Takes place several months after S8E19 "Road to Friendship".

This is my first serious(ish) story in several years, and I'd like to thank Ice Star for helping with the cover; my Google Docs prereaders who I no longer remember the fandom names of because I procrastinated on editing this for almost two years: Rep Hex, –P, Min, Jeremy, yay force, Lightning Flash, and anonymous; and also Aragon for letting me bounce ideas off of him. Due to sudden changes in Twilight's schedule, Starlight Glimmer and Trixie end up babysitting Flurry Heart for a day. Everything is fine.

Well, except maybe a thing or two.

It's Starlight Glimmer's first Nightmare Night in Ponyville, and she invites Trixie to go to a Haunted House attraction with her. As it turns out, Trixie is very very easily frightened. Almost too easily. Certainly it's not some silly excuse for the sideshow magician to cling to her very best friend... right?

It’s hard being a reformed villain. Starlight Glimmer had big plans to change the world for the better. That was until Princess Twilight and her friends arrived in her town and derailed those plans. Now she’s living in Twilight’s castle on parole, and without a clear idea where she’s going in life.

Though a unique opportunity presents itself when Twilight offers her the chance to run Ponyville’s Hearts and Hooves Day celebrations, and she agrees to help. With Trixie and Spike by her side, she has new plans for what she sees as an outdated holiday. Pity for her everypony else has different ideas for the Hearts and Hooves Day.

Sonata has a bad nightmare and asks Aria if she can bunk with her since Adagio is no where to be found. Aria of course refuses, but gives in, leaving them in a very interesting position when Adagio comes back.

Now Trixie finds stuck herself helping with the royal foal. Still, it’s only for a little bit, and the worst of Flurry’s magical outbursts are surely long behind her—between her and her fillyfriend, how hard could watching a foal for a few hours really be?
