Trixie Lulamoon has never missed a show, but tonight seems different. Starlight Glimmer feels a worry in her gut for her friend.

After the Battle of the Bands concludes in victory for the Rainbooms, all is well again in Canterlot High. The villains have been vanquished, trust in Sunset Shimmer has slowly been restored, and Trixie Lulamoon has yet another thing to add to her long list of 'totally legit' grievances against the world.

Fortunately, she knows just where to go.

To Trixie, the cafeteria is not only an excellent place to fill up her stomach, but it is also a great place to spill her guts after getting robbed in the Battle of the Bands.

Time to vent to her best friend.

After the events of Boast Busters, the Great and Powerful Trixie is in a fit of rage and desperately wants revenge on Twilight Sparkle. When she stumbles upon an old teleportation spell, she plans to surprise attack Twilight to carry out said revenge, but instead ends up in the private chambers of Princess Luna. What starts as an accidental intrusion soon becomes much more to the both of them.

The Ponyville jeweler, Lavender Brooch, is getting ready to pack up after a long day at work. It had been particularly busy, and she was more than eager to return home.

Her efforts came to a halt when a mare she remembered as Trixie walked through the doors, stepping tentatively up to the counter. With a red face, she requests to be shown the most beautiful necklace to buy for the most beautiful mare. Naturally, Lavender is inclined to help.

With no job, and no home this was looking like it was going to be the worst Hearth's Warming yet. That was until she got a letter inviting her to spend the holiday at the rock farm.

Starlight graduated her friendship lessons months ago. While she’s still welcome in the castle, she feels tethered there. Meanwhile, her best friend travels throughout Equestria, bringing back trinkets and tales alike. Starlight wants in on the experience.

Starlight and Trixie have just gotten back from a very brief roadtrip to Saddle Arabia that didn't pan out. The trip may have been a bust, but their friendship still stands.

However, the two unicorns soon find themselves confronting an unexpected visitor, Starlight's father, Firelight. He's come to Ponyville to see his daughter, largely because she hasn't visited him in months.

For Trixie, this is the first time the magician has ever encountered any family of Starlight's. But Starlight worries that her father might unintentionally embarrass her in front of her friend. Are her fears justified?

And what will Trixie think of her best friend's father's... unusual behavior?

Trixie and Sunburst led the students to safety through the caves below the School of Friendship while Starlight Glimmer stayed behind to hold off Chrysalis.

Starlight Glimmer has fallen.

Trixie isn't happy about that.
