The pony tribes have just reunited, and Pipp has accepted the job of teaching the unicorns and pegasi about the wonders of the internet. They're excited to see what this technology can do for them, and she's excited to be something more than another pretty face on social media. Nothing could shake her enthusiasm now.

Written for the 2023 Thousand Words Contest, in the "Comedy" catergory.

Rob the earth pony has not had an easy life. Alongside his crippling social anxiety, dead-end job, and general poor looks, he also suffers from a severe aversion to a certain facet of songwriting. Sure is a good thing his fellow citizens of Maretime Bay aren't prone to bursting into spontaneous musical numbers!

... Is that an electric guitar I hear on the horizon?

After moving into Maretime Bay full time, Izzy notices that Sprout hasn't been around. She soon learns that he left his job and has barely set hoof outside his house since the crystals were brought together.

Convinced that Sprout needs somepony to cheer him up, Izzy takes it upon herself to do the cheering up. But Izzy is the absolute last pony Sprout wants to see, he can't stand her in the slightest.

Unfortunately for Sprout, Izzy isn't the type of pony who takes "No" for an answer. She'll find a way to cheer him up no matter what it takes. And maybe, just maybe, she'll find a way to get inside that icy heart of his.

Sprout feels bad about how he was the one responsible for destroying Sunny’s house. After he sees what the new one looks like, he’s ready to demolish it all over again.

"Look at me, I'm Hitch. Everypony loves me, I've got a perfect mane, shredded abs and think my paid-off mortgage gives me the right to drag my deputy to chase after the crazy mare he already told me to arrest too many times to count. Bleh." Sprout murmured, kicking any small rock that got on his path in frustration.

The entire herd of bunnies that had gathered around the taller stallion suddenly cheered at his heroic speech and Sprout groaned.

Peace has been restored and all is well in Maretime Bay once again. But that doesn't mean things have gone completely back to how they were, some things still need to be addressed.

Among them is Sprout's actions as emperor, and Hitch wants to make sure Sprout learns his lesson. To that end, he has his former deputy arrested and put in jail, much to Sprout's shock.

But Sprout will be even more surprised when Sunny of all ponies comes to visit him. Yet Sunny's reason for the visit is not what Sprout will be expecting. There's something very important Sunny wants to teach the stallion who used to be a childhood friend of hers.

Sprout Cloverleaf, former emperor of Maretime Bay, has been sentenced to about two months woth of community service by Hitch Trailblazer for his war crimes against ponykind. That would be bad enough for Sprout, but in addition to the community service, he also has Izzy Moonbow be his supervisor.

Sprout felt like the next two months would be a living nightmare, especially with Izzy being there, but will he ever warm up to the unicorn over the next two months, and maybe even gain some feelings towards her?

When somepony shows themselves to be bad, it is enough for many to simply categorise them as evil and move on. But not for Pipp. Pipp doesn't believe in evil. So when Sprout was locked up following his assault, it wasn't long before Pipp found herself sitting just a meter away from the demon, cold steel being the only separator. Sprout looked up through the rusty metal bars and stared at his visitor. His fur was matted, his expression bleak and his eyes were bloodshot, staring daggers right through Pipp's determined glare. Pipp blinked, and her eyes softened.

Pipp finds something hilarious. She really, really wants to keep it.

Days after returning from his (unintentional) grand adventure to reunite the pony races, Hitch Trailblazer is called to the home of Sprout and Phyllis Cloverleaf following an event in Maretime Bay.

Days after trying to harm the very ponies Hitch worked to help, Sprout finds himself stuck in his garden following a series of events mostly out of his control.

Now face-to-face, both stallions realize that they both need help only the other can provide.

Written for the M/M Shipping Contest! But let's be honest, I was just looking for an excuse to do Hitch/Sprout eventually.
