Twilight Sparkle, personal student of Princess Celestia, is sent by her teacher to retrieve a very specific book from the Royal Library. The only problem is, she doesn't know what it's called or where to find it.

Fortunately for her, libraries are the most orderly, most mundane and certainly the safest of places one could possibly be. Or, so she thinks.

Twilight is about to find out how very strange the world of books can truly be.

Ponies? Yeah, you hear a lot about them growing up in the minotaur homelands, and it isn't all positive. Actually, almost none of it is positive. They're different. They've got those weird pictures on their flanks and those little prayers they mumble to their princesses. Ponies are gentle, passive. They're not like us.

See, a minotaur is supposed to act a certain way. You bulk up. You get aggressive. You don't let anyone else push you around, and you don't associate with ponies. I've heard the same thing my whole life, ever since I was young.

Narrowing their choices, they decide to approach one for no reason other than curiosity.

After one of their worse arguments, Princess Rarity starts to avoid Twilight, spending more and more time in her room. That wouldn't be quite as much of a problem, if not for Twilight's duty to protect the Princess at all times.

Written as my second entry in Monochromatic's Raritwi contest and set in her Bodyguard AU, which in turn is based on Earthsong9405's AU that I've never actually read.

Something terrible has happened! Rarity is distraught, her boutique in shambles, and her muse nowhere to be found! When Twilight checked her calendar, she found that it was indeed Wednesday.

Twilight pays Rarity a visit in the early part of Winter because they're planning on sharing breakfast together. But when Twilight arrives, a note and a locked door, not her special somepony, greet her. So she endeavors to get their morning started properly, even if things aren't going to plan.
