Discord felt the need to vent about the time before he was trapped in stone, and Spike seems to be the only one who could truly understand such a lifespan as they also talk about the mares they love and the hope of being loved in return, after all, not even a god can make up a pony's mind.

His latest attempt to gain Twilight’s ends in a magical catastrophe. Injured and left without his god-like powers, Discord has to work with the obstinate alicorn to find a solution.

Did the ponies really forgive Discord, or had they just said so?

Of course they did, but Discord has his doubts. How could they forgive him like that, after all of the awful things he did to them? To find answers, Discord seeks out one that he'd rather not seek out: Twilight Sparkle.

Once upon a time, there was a little purple pony.

And for Spike, still so young despite centuries of age, it was all he saw sometimes in his memories.

That little purple pony, nose deep in a book with a cup of tea beside her.

So why did nopony else see her the same way?

The boys' nights were fun for a while, but it's time for them to embark on a new adventure in a new world where the fictitious is real and the rules change, Discord, Spike, Big Mac, Trixie, Derpy and Ember will undertake an adventure in the lands of Trisfalar, where they will have to defeat the dark lord and free those lands from the darkness, but they will do it in their own way...

Basing off of the events of the leaked episode "The Break up Breakdown".
After Discord's adventure with Big Mac and Spike during Hearts and Hooves Day, and his new belief in love, Discord starts to question his true feelings for Fluttershy and whether or not he should do anything about it.
