This story is a direct sequel to Trixie's Return.

It's been two weeks since the party, but neither Twilight nor Trixie have the courage to talk about the kiss. As they begin thinking of each other in a new light, things only seem to be getting more awkward between them. Will they come to terms with their feelings for each other, or does this threaten to decimate their still-young friendship?

For years Trixie has been living with a secret that has drove her to challenge Twilight Sparkle for the title of Equestria's greatest magician. Till now, no pony knew what that drive was, and once it is learned, can things ever be the same for them again? Or will this revelation bring about a change? Whether if it is for better or worse is for fate to decide.

Trixie has returned to the only life she hasn't failed at, rock farming. When her old rival comes to help her make amends, she's thrust into an adventure she doesn't want to be on, but it may be what she needs to reclaim her confidence as the Great and Powerful Trixie she once was.

After being given the short end of the stick by the Mane 6 once again, Spike wonders if he's worthy to be called their friend. When an unexpected visitor arrives, he decides to voice his opinions.

Just a one-shot I cooked up in my spare time. I always feel bad that Spike is constantly neglected or mistreated, even if he is the comic relief.

Will she beg a mortal enemy for mercy, not for herself but for an innocent foal? She is already willing to die for her child so what else could she give to be certain of the filly's sustained happiness?

This is my entry for the EFNW 2014 Writing Contest. I'm really happy with it so it doesn't matter whether I win or not. Seriously I'm glad I got to tell this story.
