Well, that is a nice, touching, and sweet story. You don't see OctaviaSpike to often so this was a real treat to read.
That was a really amazing story. I loved the premise, the plot, and the characterization. There is little room for improvement for this story. I love Octavia as a character and Spike is just my favorite. An excellent read and an easy favorite. It's nice to just read a story like this every once in a while. Short, sweet, and full of hope. So, thanks for the wonderful story.

I've always been a pretty ardent OctaScratch shipper - didn't even cross my mind reading this. The writing was just too good. You've got a new convert to Spike/Octavia shipping, I can tell you that.

I had originally planned for this scenario to be a Fluttershy pairing, but I got into your Spike/Vinyl story (my two favorites!) so I decided to give Octavia some love instead, precisely because of that story. Anyways, this story is great and very well written. It kept my interest the whole time and the added entertainment and how you did more than you told made it even better.

Umm, i don't read fanfiction much anymore, but this... i had to read it twice now. It's so excellent, like outside of one or two exceptions, it's flawless. It was gorgeously written with an eye to feeling, characterization was beyond perfect, and it felt so real.
That line and the "How To Date A Dragon?" bit at the end were genious. Seriously, I can't get over how much i loved this

I came to read this one after reading your Lyra story, and I have to say I enjoyed it very much. Octavia was slightly different from my head-canon, as I found her more relaxed, which is what I'm sure you were shooting for. The fact that I've never imagined Octy with a braid puts a nice bit of symbolism into her. In my interpretation and opinion.
Like Octavia Harmony, I came here after reading your Lyra/Spike story, which was great. This story though, I honestly think blows that one out of the water.
I am a sucker both for Spike, and a sucker for Octavia… but never thought of shipping the two, so this fic gave me a serious little squee moment.
Man. Which blue-collar BG pony will Spike woo next? Another Earth musician perhaps. Or a weather team Pegasus. Or if keeping trend, another oddball fan filly of the Dragon toy line.
