"War. War never changes.

In 1776, this great nation accepted that armed conflict was the only way to preserve our rights. To life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. If our founding fathers could only see us now. From Antietam to Amina, Okinawa to Anchorage, we have fought. And now, the Striped Menace is at our doorstep. Democracy itself is under threat, and our nation. That is why today, July 4th, 2076. Three hundred years after our great nation began, we gather together to honor the completion, of Vault 76. This sprawling underground shelter may have been engineered by Vault-Tec. But it was built by you. The good people of Mareica. So that if the bombs do come, if the end does come, our way of life will endure. But not everyone will be saved. Those, chosen to enter this vault, must be our best and our brightest. For when the fighting has stopped, and the fallout has settled. You must rebuild. Not just walls, not just buildings, but hearts and minds. And ultimately, Mareica itself. So as we stand here today, we pray that the world will know peace. But, if that is not our destiny, if war must come, we stand here together knowing that in Vault 76, our future...

Begins."

Lacking the ability to experience emotions was beneficial in Void's line of work, but when that is taken away will he be able to change what he once was?

UPDATE: So, thanks to circumstances in life and a very good idea from one of my readers (thank you!) I have cut this story off at chapter 13 so that it has a happy ending. I don't have the pain filled angst to make it sad and depressing anymore, and for that I am thankful.

Robronco has made many models of the P.A.B.'s (Personal Automated Butler) since the war began. They serve their masters without question, without feelings, and without thought.

So why is Garcon different? He thinks like a pony, acts like a pony, talks like a pony....he even looks like a pony. His programming tells him he's to serve his masters....but other times he thinks about himself, and the world around him. But what makes him different is also what makes him loved; especially by his family. They love him so much that they see him as a member of the family; which he is very happy with.

Garcon doesn't think that he'll do anything over than serve his masters for the rest of their lives.

Until one day...the day when one story ended and another began. The day when fire and destruction rained down on Equestria from the Zebra Homeland. The world of old ended, and ponies ran for the safety of the Stables.

Now Garcon finds himself awoken in a new, deadly Equestria after being offline for 190 years. But with the world and life he once knew now gone, he finds himself with a new objective. With knowledge that his family is still alive, he begins a journey to search the wasteland and find them.

But there is a new enemy in the Wasteland: a group ready to spread their reign of technological terror over all of Equestria.
