(1). Loss, the First Fiction I ever read. Loss describes the death of Rarity and the way her friends cope with the death. The story is not blindingly depressing but is a great introduction to the sad genre and a brilliantly written story overall. (2). A Rose Reverie is a story about Pinkie Pie being put in a mental institution after being framed for a crime that she claims that she didn't commit. An excellently written story with twists, suspense and a surprise ending this story is a brilliant example of what beauty our fandom has created. (3). Blood and Guts and ponies is a HiE staring General Patton and one of his tank crews (Patton is of course the main hero) one of the best HiE's that I have read. The story keeps you interested and uses suspense extremely well. (4). Vinyl and Octavia University days is a very popular fiction describing the relationship between Octavia and Vinyl Scratch. A humorous fiction that brings the reader through the twists and turns of the college lives of two ponies brought together through a Psychology teacher's assignment. Good for relationship and humor fans. (5). Sing me a Lullaby is quite possibly the saddest story that I have ever read (yes even sadder than My Little Dashie). The story revolves around a terminally ill patient who meets Fluttershy during his last weeks of life and the two become friends (no shipping). The writer really uses the human language in a brilliant manner. The writer (onetrickpon3) has some other fictions up that are brilliant as well but this is by far his best work.

(6). Transcendence is a famous fiction. Transcendence tells the story of Scootallo and her attempts to fly and to gain the attention of Rainbow Dash. Assisting her are her father and the two fellow crusaders. The story does a really good job in describing a father daughter dynamic and the side story with her father is brilliant enough to be a story of its own. Rainbow Dash is OOC (out of character)which is what makes it lower on this list. (7). Stuck in the Middle With You was either the second or third story that I read. The story revolves around Luna starting a summer camp. The mane 6 and Pip come and stay there. A nice Slice of Life story Pip plays a great role. The story takes a very humorous tone. One personal problem. There is a hint of LunaxTwilight shipping. But that is only a personal dislike. (8). The Cosby Show Pudding is Magic got me out of a large sad-fic era. The plot revolves around Bill Cosby going to Equestria and jello pudding ensues. Not really much to say but that this story is laugh out loud funny. This story can get blindingly funny. (9). Would it Matter is a story from my sad-fic era. It revolves around Twilight's house burning down and her wondering what did her life mean to all of her friends. It is a really deep story that brings into light the overall idea of friendship. Even if you are not a fan of the sad genre it is still a brilliant short fic. (10). The Generic HiE is a parody of all of the cliches of the HiE genre that so many people use. The story is funny for anybody who is a fan of the Genre and likes a good laugh. It is also one of the few stories where the characters rebel against their writer. It really wouldn't be funny for anybody who isn't a fan of the genre though.
