SockPuppet

I like writing about the worst day of a character's life; it lets us see the mettle inside. (Pronouns: RB/20 )

Scootaloo needs to talk about sex. Unfortunately, she goes to Twilight for help, and gets a lecture, instead.

And with a YouTube audio reading, apparently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUBgt876x8Y
They really nail the panic in Scootaloo's voice! I love it!

Chapters (1)

Thunderlane opens the Canterlot Times newspaper one morning to find out he's been voted 'hottest stallion.' He's not happy about this. He's even less happy when every unattached mare in town congregates on his front porch.

And he's even LESS happy when Princess Luna blasts his front door off its hinges and barges in, looking for him.

(Inspired by a Discord chat. One of Luna's lines courtesy Zubric. Thanks, all!)

Chapters (1)

Everypony is telling us, “It’s so amazing you two got Princess Luna to be the Mare of Honor at your wedding! And Princess Celestia as a guest!”

Everypony is meaning, “How in Tartarus did you, two middle-class mathematicians of no apparent social connections, achieve the social coup of the decade, upstaging all of the Canterlot aristocracy and peerage?”

The short answer is, “We made friends with somepony lonely and hurting who needed a friend.”

The long answer? Well, Princess Luna has given me permission to tell you the story. The entire story. Even the dark bits, from her foalhood. Which, I warn you before you begin, are dark. But I promise the ending is happy—after all, look at our wedding pictures! Have you ever seen a picture of Luna with such a big smile on her face?

Sequel to A day in Canterlot Juvenile Court, but can be read independently.

Story inspired by a comment by Veylon at the prequel. Thanks!

Teenage Starlight Glimmer is a latchkey foal, her parents never at home, so she's raising herself. She has demigoddess-level magic, untreated mental illness, and (hidden in the back of her closet) a black grimoire, a vile necronomicon, a book of the most blasphemous spells only known to the worst eldritch abominations and Tirek-worshippers that have ever existed.

It’s not a good combination.

Starlight isn't a bad filly, really she's not, but she has problems. She tries to be good, not always successfully, but when Starlight's mother suffers yet another personal tragedy, and there's nothing Starlight can do to cheer mom up, the necronomicon offers Starlight some help from the most loathsome depths of space and time. And Starlight is always looking for the magical solution to her problems.

Can Starlight cover up her crimes before dawn?

Author's note: this is my worst story and I haven't deleted it only because of the awesome cover art.

Dead dove, do not read.

Vaguely shares a universe with my other stories. No need to have read them first, however.

Chapters (8)

The charge is FWI—flying while intoxicated—and the filly is recovering from a broken wing and shattered jaw.

Judge Book Thrower has run Canterlot Juvenile Court for seventy years, doing everything she can to help foals turn around their lives and make better decisions.

Every few months, Princess Celestia shows up In Book Thrower’s courtroom and takes a special hoof in one of the cases, trying to help foals who would otherwise have nopony to help them.

Today, the judge and Celestia must find a way to help a special filly before she descends further into alcoholism and delinquency.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: not a Cozy Glow story! Pinkie Promise.

It’s Pinkie’s birthday, she’s the last of the crew to reach legal drinking age, and everypony gathers at a tavern to celebrate.
