Back story (oh here we go): Long (REALLY LONG) story short, the ultimate protector of the City of Auz (in an entirely different universe) he seeks to adventure through other universes to defeat the Darkness (a demonic race of dark...things) to save others. He once found the land of Equestria and transformed through his Auzian Transmogrifier (the grey thing he wears on his wrist) from an Auzian (human-like appearance) to a Horse with Wings and a Horn, this happened due to the confusion of his device to find the leading race and becoming that (because all three species live equally) Hilarity ensued when he met the Mane 6 and quickly became friends. wanting to seek out more adventure he used his Auzonite (a special transforming element found in every universe that can help to travel through universes, and also makes up his sword that changes from a necklace to a 4 foot long sword) to go to the multiverse and found himself in the scariest, most disgusting, and down right profane adventure he could ever find, until he finds this place which seems normal enough, until he finds himself chest deep in a dumpster in an alley looking above as a dragon flies away.
Authors note: I warned you, but hopefully I get picked, because these comments seem, a little, nonexistant right now, NO OFFENSE of coarse... well, I have had experience in this, kind of thing, don't ask though it was kind of a crappy part my life, but what evs. can't wait to see if I get picked or not. If not, I'm completely fine with that, less work on my end anyway, if so, I hope to be of use, thankyou for reading this silly silly thing I just wrote
I really like the idea of using the magical powers of the internet to close the distance between the reader and the author, but there are some things in the execution that I think are questionable.
The way you format the story is, to say the least, different. Especially the text changing color and size was a bit distracting for me. I realize you use these methods to change the tone in which the character speaks, but is it not possible for you to do that in some slightly less jarring ways? The amount of paragraphs present is a bit extreme too.
How much input in the story do you plan to have people's OCs have? Having that a bit more fleshed out would be appreciated.
2362208 Yeah, the text effects aren't going to be in the story much, just around certain characters. The prologue just happened to have the two most important characters in it. I think I'll remove the bold on the great lord's voice though, at least from dragon perspective. I'll also edit the paragraph issue. Thanks for your input.
To answer your other question, I was planning on releasing a new chapter with more details on that.

He wears a sapphire amulet which gives him magical powers. Unfortunately he also suffers from a rare disease that makes him unable to take the amulet off for any period of time without causing rapid organ decomposition and premature aging which will kill him if left unattended for too long.

Overall Personality Description: Oathbound is very, VERY protective of those that he loves. He is slow to make friends of those he considers enemies, but can overcome his past to greet the future. Is willing to go to any lengths to please his friends and to commit any sacrifice for the good of ponykind, even if it means his death. When he wants to, he can become a very intimidating pony to face. He sometimes comes into conflict with his negative emotions, which try to take control of his body (Unimportant for this story), usually with only limited success. In addition, like his name implies, once he swears an oath, he will not take it back under any circumstances. Getting him to swear something however, is an achievement in and of itself.

Backstory (shortened; I'll get the full story when you're selected): Originally he had no home to speak of, as he was a wandering pony with no parents.
However, eventually he found the city of Canterlot and saw the Royal Guard. Inspired, he began training to become a guard himself. Quickly proving his worth, he rose through the ranks to become the Captain of the Guard. Eventually though he resigned out of personal shame when he had failed to protect the princess from an assault, though the princess lived. He is still good friends with the princess, but he cannot bring himself to serve directly under her again.
Any additional notes: The amulet he wears is basically the only thing keeping him alive. Take it off and his body will start to rapidly decompose due to a disease which makes his body addicted to magic, which kills him if he cannot keep a steady stream of magic up through the amulet. So far there has been no cure. It also makes him lose his magical abilities until the amulet is returned.
My oc is my profile pic. You can call her melody sparkle or Melody Sparklepie, depending on how you want your story to go about, she can be a princess (cadance's sister) and therefore an alicorn, or she can be a unicorn. Her special talent is bringing joy with her music. She loves to laugh, sing, dance and smile! (Ok, I completely understand if you don't want to use my oc, it's very cheesy)

Princess platinum quite liked melody and after asking for her mother's permission, she became the royal entertainer. Her father had died for reasons unknown. She continued with this job once the three tribes came together. (Ok I know this is really bad but I had to change my entire backstory because cadance doesn't exist)

Aurora loved to watch as a young filly and one night she sneaked out and tried it herself, firstly ever so slightly one night she completely forgot about her surroundings adn rose higher into the sky and when she finally opened her eyes she regarded the greenish almost eerie light in the night sky, her namesake, and it was for her like an instruction on just how she was supposed to move.
Somehow piercing the last bits together that I hadn't imagined before really makes me wanna read more about her. Maybe you'll feel the same .. or rather write instead of read

Backstory (shortened; I'll get the full story when you're selected): A penniless Weather Engineer/Inventor who has spent decades developing technology to aid with weather control, rather than the 'oh so noble art of warfare'. In general his experiments are either massive successes or massive failures (though not necessarily exclusive, like bottled wind) with the proceeds from the successes barely covering the costs of everything he destroys by accident.
Any additional notes: His coughing is a result of lung damage from his many failed experiments, which combined with his age has been forcing him to stay at lower altitudes most of the time. Also it is a running joke that nopony really knows if his mane actually is black, or if it is just stained with soot.

Otherwise he is a very kind pony, always has a good word for everypony and has a good reservoire of jokes too. The new guys usually get the worst treatment though. But that's how he was raised.

Backstory (shortened; I'll get the full story when you're selected): Coal Scorcher was pretty much the runt of the litter, picked on by his 3 sisters and 2 brothers, not to mention the bullies at school. His parents taught him how to stand up to himself and combined with the rough life-style he had, he grew to become a hard worker who only respects those who can pull their weight. One day his family home was burnt to the ground by a dragon, though he never came to know which dragon it was in the first place. Only thing he knew is that his family was in the house when it happened. The only memento he has of them is the little piece of wood he salvaged from the ruins. Afterwards he became a wandering workspony, travelling from place to place, offering to warm people's places up in return for some bits until he settled in Canterlot, where he started his own company and began taking ponies in. There he learned that the dragons had been riling up in the Badlands, so he deduced that it was a dragon that killed his family. He swore he would find the dragon and kill it.

Time to explain all the BS I gave you up above a few times, note this will be a tad confusing.
Before i tell you the backstory let me explain something, when Risen dies Risen will always rise from the dead and when this happens Risen looses all memories and Risens mane and tail colors change. Also theres one more thing i need to say, well two, when Risen rises from the grave Risen changes Gender and the wing change from feather to bat and viceversa.
Backstory: Risen has long sense forgotten where they where born, yes I said they, for you see Risen is two ponys in the same body. Risen doesn't know where they where born, and every time death befalls Risen there mane and tail color change as do the wings on there back. Though thats not the worst of it, upon every death, both sides forget everything they did before they died. The only way Risen can regain even part of there memories is to find someone they knew before death.
P.S. you are Free to remove the wings and make Risen a Earth Pony or Unicorn(this is to everyone, Read below)
Side note: Risen is free for anyone to use, just PM me and inform me your using Risen, and credit me for making Risen.Also I know saying Risen so much is probly a tad redundent, annoy, and ect. **Risen is NOT and just to make a point, I repeat NOT immortal by any means.
Risen's Rebirthing could easily be stopped by simply burning Risen to nothing but ashes or anything else that would completely change the body. Meaning you cut a leg off, it stay off, Risen will not grow new limbs upon rebirth. There is only one thing that would cause immortality and limb regrowth for Risen, but I removed it for this post cause it would of made Risen overkill, overpowered, or as this stories writer put it 'Badass'.
That this trait can be removed is what made Risen one of the top three I have ever come up with.(too any who may want too know, Risen is number 3, behind Moony and Solis Lunae as number 2, and my most versatile character Eon who has over 20 different versions at this point, including renamed versions. My apologizes to this stories writer for including this, some find it point worthy. Side note: Moony is a Unicorn born with no horn and Solis has a Dragon version and a Alicorn(here we go again right?) with two horns and two sets of wings, Eon is not a pony nor a dragon, Eon is indeed human. anyone wants any info on any of them PM me, I don't wana put anymore info on them in this post then I already have, sense it's not about them. My apologizes to this stories writer again for this unrelated info.)
So I must also add that if you want god/full risen style risen, and even god style isn't undying, actually it makes Risen Easier to put down, cause both Risen's would die at the same time and break the rebirth cycle.

Intelligence, light on his hooves, and a skewed perspective that makes him love danger. When his life or the lives of his few friends are threatened, he does have one hail mary magical attack: he can use levitation spells to revolve quills around himself at high speed until the friction with the air causes them to catch fire, creating flaming projectiles. This can be used either as projectile weapons or as a means of creating fire to remove oxygen in the room. This technique, though, is just as dangerous to himself as it is to others, risking asphyxiation and severe burns, so he will only use it in a life-or-death situation.

After reading dozens upon dozens of adventure novels and hearing first-hand the stories of Equestria's founders, he became obsessed with wanting to have an adventure of his own, to travel across the new and uncharted nation and see and fight things that no one has ever seen or prevailed against before. He has slowly but surely began working on his own novel.
Additional notes: He's kind of like Bilbo Baggins. He spends most of his time in a quiet life that he enjoys, but when the opportunity for adventure comes, he will leave everything behind and take off for the hills, rising to every occasion.
