This is going great! So far I've seen about three a few several that I really like. I need more OCs, people! I have all the main characters, but I'm still accepting side characters! I want a good selection! Not to sound mean, but I'm sure you guys would like to see some diversity among the group. Not to say you're OCs aren't good! 'Cause they are!
Anyway, here's what I'm aiming for:
•two of each race, just like the main six. (check.)
•at least two of each gender. (check.)
•no two characters have the same personality, appearance, or abilities; everyone's different. (check... more or less.)
•balanced characters- each one has their own faults. Whatever that may be. (check.)
Here are some suggestions as well:
•submit about three ponies, preferably one per race.
•don't have a backstory that conflicts with canon lore or makes your character a big deal (hasn't happened yet, thankfully).
•most importantly- be original! I'd LOVE to see some very unique characters (not that I haven't yet), and they'd help the diversity aspect.
•don't be afraid to be generic! Your pony can still have originality and depth, but have a simple appearance and a simple life. (take Applejack for example.)
So, yeah! Thanks for your support! If you know anyone who's good with OCs, be sure to show them this, too!
