Why does every writer who uses Dusk Shine always describe him as "fem-boy"???? He's a STALLION and should be characterized as such. He may be alike to Twilight, but that does not mean that he's a girly-boy...

I think they planned this all out. From my understanding, this was something of a 'role-play' therapy session as much as fetish indulgence. Dusk had some things he needed to get off his chest that he had trouble voicing. He apparently brought it up with Celestia, who he probably confessed his love to by then, and her solution would be to set up a safe environment where Dusk Shine can let those deep dark issues vent.
Honestly, this reminds me of another story called Palimpsest, which is a similar situation. Twilight though, not Dusk Shine. 👍
