And I may have injected my own fetishes around it here and experimentally pushed unreformed Sunset into scary manipulator territory a little hard.

Perfectly fine. Transformation is one of those sub-genres that a lot of people like for a lot of different reasons: some people are misanthropic. Some people really like a particular animal. Some people have desires but would prefer it 'forced' onto them so they don't have to choose it. Some people see it as horror. Some people like the uncomfortable aspects to it (the in-between-ness). Some people want to experience everything! The list goes on!

Damm this is written pretty confusing. On one hand, you try to write it second person, while also referring to Sunset in first person. Sadly, it simply doesn't work that way.
At least what I can say after around 15% of the story.
Though, this isn't my final judgement, that follows once I am done reading it completely in a second post.
While it continues with the weired POV chages betwen second person and sunset as first person, at gets a lot better once Sunsets cute little mare wakes up. So compltly seen it's beerable and the sex scenes are written pretty well, and that is what counts.
Honestly I would like too se more of it.

Oh. I see. I had a lot of compliments about it actually. I saw it once and thought it would be a good medium for a sub/Dom story. It's very unusual and experimental though.
It's intentionally first and second person. The best way to understand it is that Sunset Shimmer is telling you how you feel and what you're doing. She's literally dominating and controlling you. Imagine Sunset Shimmer is narrating it to you. She is describing your actions, talking about you as if you are not in control, because you aren't. You are not the main character, she is.

I'm rereading this for the four... thousandth time, and I think you'd be flattered to know that this story has done a lot for helping me be into slightly stranger things. When I first read it, it was very "This is just barely hotter than it is weird so I like it but it's on thin ice," and now it's one of my favorite explicit stories on the site. Yeah, this is definitely a gentle leading into horse-flavored BDSM-trappings. Or at the very least, some pony petplay! Nothing too demeaning or complicated though. I like when the domineering is positive and the mouth is free to make noise and take toys! (Hence no mouth bit appearing in this fic)
There's definitely some room to grow further if one wants though: riding crops, a ring gag for a bit?, blinders, etc. Maybe getting you going then tying you to a post/radiator with a lead just short enough that you can't turn around or lay down while she goes off to take a shower and lets you squirm.~
Who's to say it has to stay in the 'basement' either? Maybe she gets you a nice collar to wear as a human that matches her jacket!

Personally, most physical BDSM trappings have never done much for me; the hottest parts of this story to me, for instance, are the dialogue and the evolving mental states. That said, I'm sure any other story would have those as well. Plus, anything is hot when you care about the characters.
It amuses me greatly that your response to comments seems to be to attempt to seduce the commenters. The one about the second-person PoV felt very intentional.

I liked the transformation and then the realization part but I wasn’t able to get off to round two so to speak because it was too short. I am a big fan of lactation though and maybe see sunset riding the mare and pulling the bridle would be nice to see.
