For Equestria!

Your first story! And it's good! :yay:

Jesus christ.

This did make me think though, Wallflower could easily become an uncatchable killer. She kills, then erases everyone's memories of that person ever existing.

The fact one person can have that much power is terrifying to say the least

Right? Wallflower's power was terrifying! She showed she could wipe herself from people's memories, she could also wipe years out of a person.
Wallflower was a perfect villain in a way: tragic and with a terrifying power that still leaves her vulnerable and unable to really solve her problems.

Someday I want to write more Wallflower.

I think I'll also give it a go in the future. She's a really interesting character, but in Forgotten Friendship just kinda came off as a loner with a grudge. She's definitely more than that, some of the fics on here are brilliant, this one especially

Aww. I'm glad you think so!

Quite a few of the fics I'm exposed to are mostly about her being shipped with Sunset Shimmer. Another large portion are suicide/self-harm. If you're fine with either of those you're good to go! I think she would make a great tragic hero.

I assume this takes place pre the first movie? So Sunset hasn't been redeemed yet?

Well-presented and horrifyingly believable. The bit of pony mentality slipping through in the quoted insult is an especially nice touch. I find myself worried that this could be the start of a truly dark path for Wallflower; the title could be read two ways, after all. Thank you for a chilling read.

Exactly right. We don't know how long Wallflower Blush had the memory stone. My interpretation from the special was that it could've been a year or even longer: I think if she only obtained the stone recently she'd still be trying to use it to improve her life: someone like her might've saw it as a way to regain control over her situation: undo mistakes and try again, try to become popular, Try to stop the school bully, etc.

And yet, Wallflower is a bitter and angry character when we meet her. She just wants to be left alone and not be hurt. </3 It must have been many repeated failures that made her feel powerless even with such an item. So I think it's possible she had it for a year or more, meaning before before Sunset's redemption.

So this is a sort of dark what-if scenario.

“As for you...,” she gave the middle of her garden a sour expression. “No one is ever going to look for you.” She put her gloves away in her backpack and pulled out something wrapped in cloth. She revealed a carved stone. “Because tomorrow morning, I’m going to make sure no one ever remembers you.”

Well, except for maybe Celestia in Equestria? But then again, she didn't even go after Sunset for all these decades. :ajbemused:

I was half-jokingly considering exploring that aspect in a "supernatural" horror sequel. But yeah, the only one who would think about the girl who disappeared from the memory of humans would probably be Princess Celestia. Probably just hoping that wherever Sunset disappeared to, she's happier there. </3

Yeah, "happy" as being new soil for plants.
