Blackdrag-rose

Perfection? I don't want that, because that would mean stopping, standing still, instead of improving.

Sombra was defeated, his body shattered, but his soul persisted and found a path to a new world, at the same time as Fluttershy and Radiant Hope, causing them to arrive in a brand new world. They must join Sora, Donald, and Goofy in their quest to find their missing friends, and their fight to save the worlds from the Heartless, while unaware of the true evil that's lurking in the darkness.

(Warning: gender bent Sombra)

And so starts a new story.

Well, here it is.

And the mere mentioned of this " true evil", is it the Organization 13 as usual? Or even the Demon Empire?

JD1

Onto another adventure.

Nice start, but how will it continue?

It begins with Sombra becoming Umbra (R63 Sombra) and the dawn of a new Dark Seeker (maybe). In the coming days we shall see who is better with darkness, Sombra/Umbra or Old Man Xehanort.

And so begins the author's struggle through one of the most convoluted series out there.

11731404

Wait, really!?

The author didn't say anything beforehand in the blogs, about changing Sombra's gender and why?

11731464 I didn't say anything beforehand because the idea came to me while I was writing this chapter. As for 'how' this happened, that will be explained in the next chapter.

11731546
I'm assuming it has to do with how he was possessing Fluttershy at the time he was sent through, and as such the World assumed he was also female? Either that or Fluttershy's heart is sleeping within his own in a manner similar to Ventus & Sora, and his body changed as a result.

11731758 You hit the nail on the head. In all honesty, I never considered the latter idea.

Hahahahahahaha I should feel sorry for Sombra but nah.

Well, this was certainly interesting.

11732560 Hopefully it is a 'good' sort of interesting.

Sombra is in for one wild ride.

...I have concerns regarding Sombra's absorbing hearts to gain power. Just to check, you ARE aware that if this causes the hearts to be absorbed in their entirety until nothing remains, him doing so means the people those hearts belonged to won't ever have a chance of being recompleted, yes?

I can’t wait till he gets to deal with the other faction. I do think that by the end he will need to give up everything he has taken. Then again I do see him almost becoming one of the 13.

Sombra will be a anti her or a good sided villain?
I am hyped ♡:rainbowdetermined2:

You do know that pureblood heartless like Shadows are nothing but pure darkness and possess no captured hearts, right? Only the emblem heartless have the hearts. The practice session would have made more sense if she were fighting Soldiers. Unless it's not hearts that she's capturing but something else that all types of heartless possess.

I can see this power becoming a real thorn in the side of the KH2 Org XIII. Sombra may end up having a duel or 2 with Marluxia in the future since they are both scythe wielders. Xemnas may also end up getting personally involved in getting rid of Sombra before Sora ever gets a shot at him.

11733850 I'm going to be honest, I could have sworn that I saw a shadow Heartless release a heart once... however, that was back in KH2, during the big battle scene, so an emblem Heartless must have gotten in the way and I made a mistake. I'll just have to go back in and switch the shadows out for one of the emblem Heartless.

11733741 I am aware of that fact, yes.

11733875
Shadows may have given hearts back in KH1 but Nomura probably decided to change the rules a little in later installments. This concept was brought up in 358/2 Days and stuck since.

Edit: After a bit more research, it seems that the difference between a pureblood and an emblem is that the emblems capture hearts and corrupt other hearts while the purebloods are hearts that surrender themselves to the darkness within them. Hearts freed from emblems seek out other hearts to connect with (hence the artificial Kingdom Hearts in TWTNW) Purebloods simply return to the realm of darkness when defeated.

11733915 I understand. As such I've modified Sombra's training a little to show her fighting both the shadows and an emblem Heartless, to show her that pureblood Heartless don't release hearts while emblem ones do.

This will certainly be interesting. The fact he/she has a 'storage area' for hearts inside them probably means they can release hearts as well. Whether that is specific hearts or all at once, who knows.

Well that meeting went well

Even in another world Radiant still finds her. It's like she installed a tracking chip onto his very soul at some point. :rainbowlaugh:

Interesting introduction to Nobodies. Such things usually form from strong-hearted individuals and only the particularly strong of those end up retaining their human form as Nobodies.

11736748 Well, the World did say that it was dropping her, Radiant, and Fluttershy off in the same world... but yeah, it is pretty funny that Radiant can track Sombra down. Based on what I can tell the pair do seem to have some sort of bond, as Radiant followed Sombra and even dove into his home realm when the Crystal Empire was sealed away.

And yeah, the Nobodies get introduced as an enemy type, even though the first one ran away. As I understand the lore of the series everyone can be turned into a Heartless and a Nobody when their heart is taken, but only the strong-willed individuals can give way for the more powerful Nobodies.

Of course, the Light can find Darkness when it is called upon.

Oh Maleficent, you and your little helpers got no idea, what is going to you all them.

I kinda hope Sombra shows Maleficent what a true dark ruler can do.

You know, it's a shame that Maleficent and the other Disney villains knowing each other was never expanded upon in the game. Like it is NEVER referenced outside this scene.

I could see Sombra to defeat the Dark Counsel alongside the others, only to replace it once her opposition is defeated.
Reminds me of the Kotor2 Singelplayer plot actually.

Kreia was a teacher/companion that was a dark side user, that used a group of light side warriors to defeat her fellow dark side users only to reveal herself once she was the undisputed leader of the dark side.
Suddenly revealed that one of the strongest character supporting the main character is now the final boss
.
Imagen my horror when suddenly my support character with redicules powerful area of effect attack suddenly was turned against me.
Kreia absolutely smoked me, because I had teached her all my buffing abilities, so my main character focus on pure attack with some low support abilities.
One of the toughest, self inflicted defeats i had to suffer.
When my loyal and powerful teacher/companion died because it was a fight to the death... i was very very sad.

When will it be time to strike back?

More importantly:
Who will be the first to try and fail, will there be a price for defeating the villain?

Well, this will certainly be interesting. Honestly, it's probably gonna take till the end of the first game's story for Sombra to get the option for their male body.

Yeah I would not Trust Donald's food either, for with his luck who knows what might be in it.

Donald will definitely take time to grow on them. And them grow on him. He's very stubborn.

What can someone put in food to make it thick as glue? :rainbowderp:

Sombra:
Ruler, Cook, warrior, wizard and dark lord.
Nice collection.

Nice chapter. Wonder if Sombra can steal a Keyblade later or take a abandoned one?

Tell me, how much of Fluttershy's abilities were inspired by the manhwa "Solo Farming in the Tower"? If you have never read it before, I recommend checking it out it as it seems like a good read.

If Sombra learned how to create Dark Corridors she could get to where she wanted even if Donald ditches her and Radiant.

11742041 Rubber cement. Donald's bad dish is a reference to an old episode from 1941 I somehow stumbled on while I was looking for another clip, where he was making waffles and accidentally added the rubber cement to the batter, resulting in something like what happened in this chapter.

As for the Keyblades, the only abandoned ones in the entire series, to the best of my knowledge, are those in the Keyblade Graveyard.

11742234 A good number, actually. I've actually read the manhwa in question and found it to be a very interesting story.

11742244
Exactly what I think where he might get one or two Keyblades. Is there are rule against that?

11742258 Is there a rule against stealing Keyblades, especially the ones in the Graveyard? To the best of my knowledge, no, and this is due to the fact that the Wayfinder Trio... Aqua, Terra, and Ventus... actually pick up a second Keyblade each before their battle with Xehanort and Vanitas.

11742258 I've thought about it a bit more and have realized that there is one critical flaw with taking a Keyblade from the Graveyard: getting there. The only people alive who know where it is are Yen Sid, Mickey, and Xehanort, and the first two won't let anyone go there unless it is absolutely necessary, while Xehanort... well, he's fractured and of no help right now.

11742234 Actually, if I'm being honest, all five of the abilities I've given the displaced... Boundless Necromancy, Tower Farming, Animal Friendship, Grand Walking, and Equipment Creator... come from a number of tower and isekai mangas I've read.

11742449
So regarding the "taking keyblades from the Keyblade Graveyard" thing: even if they're "dead", we know from KH3 that they still have a connection to their original wielder, evidenced by the Starlight Keyblade helping Sora against the Heartless Tornado, showing an image of the Kingdom Hearts Union X protagonist to him, and rallying the other Keyblades there to aid him. So I don't think you can take one unless it approves of you.

As for Aqua, Ventus, and Terra getting a canonical second keyblade before the events there: as the keyblade they get is aesthetically an evolved version of their starting keyblade, I always viewed them as it signifying them reaching the end of their growth over the story. Terra being a bit of an exception as he technically has two evolved Keyblades: Ends of the Earth and Chaos Ripper.

11742458 I see. I will admit, I don't know all of the rules of the KH universe, even despite having played many of the games myself... but this is good information to have either way, since it definitely cuts out the Keyblade Graveyard as an option.

11742482
One thing about the KH Universe that isn't ever actually discussed in-universe, but is alluded to as early as Hollow Bastion in KH1, and more or less explicitly shown in that KH3 Starlight Keyblade scene, is that Keyblades are effectively semi-sentient. The Kingdom Key going to Riku in KH1 Hollow Bastion? That was the Kingdom Key choosing by itself to go to Riku, as it's explicitly impossible to steal a Keyblade, because it will just teleport back to its wielder. That itself is shown by the scene early on with the Keyblade warping from Leon's hand to Sora's in Traverse Town.

There's a surprising amount of lore that is never actually explained or explicitly pointed out in-universe, and rather it gets alluded to, AFAIK. Such as the Worlds themselves being sentient/sapient to an extent.

11742496 I knew that it was impossible to steal a Keyblade, since there's the Leon scene you mentioned and there's Sora giving his to Jack before it went back to Sora. I also recently found out that Riku was the intended wielder of the Kingdom Key from the beginning, but it jumped to Sora after Riku broke his oath and gave into the Darkness. The part I didn't know, or didn't realize until your comment, is that you cannot take a Keyblade from the Graveyard, or a fallen one, without it approving of you.
