Yes, because the previous format clearly wasn't working. Except for you, the last format I think intimidated most other readers from reading it. In fact, I think the 2 dislikes on the story came from that alone. They didn't actually read the story. They simply saw a single chapter 63k long and thought, "How dare you!" and clicked dislike without even reading it. Everyone else remotely intrigued kept putting it in "Read it later" rather than favorites. Because I kept seeing that pattern, I realized the previous format was going to fail. If I didn't change it to the far less intimidating chapter format with bite-size chapters, then hardly anyone is going to read it.
Sorry for the inconvience, but the whole thing will be available soon. I'll post each chapter once a day. The entire reason I posted it in one chapter in the first place was I was attempting to put the whole thing there on Halloween without confusing the chapter statistics data, but if that resulted in much fewer readers then this new version is the best format in the long run. As long as I post the stories at least a day apart as well, the read count statistics dots will be spread out and it'll be easier to see how many views each one is doing.

And yeah. I get the impression that the stories focusing on Lightning Dust are pretty rare on the site. It's a matter of opinion which one of those few is actually good, but with a thinner pool to start with, the odds are stronger that very few of them are great.
I like this version of "more mature thinking" but still chaotic Lightning Dust more than how she appears in the show.
