This story is part of the Travelers Tales side story collection and canon to The Equestria Chronicles. But you DO NOT have to read those stories to enjoy this one.

Intriguing start to your latest story. REALLY liked the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. So, it looks like Foenum is in another, further away, section of the same planet as Equestria in this universe. Could definitely understand Arizona's frustrations as well as eagerness for action. Well, we'll see what's up with these thefts eventually.
And it sounds like, with Twilight and her friends having their explorations on other parts of the world, the main characters of Them's Fightin' Herds will be filling in for the Mane Six somewhat. Well, at least separately.
I could certainly see Oleander visiting Canterlot and having a chat with Celestia and Luna while noting both the similarities and the differences from the unicorns in this part of the world and the ones back home.
But I digress. I admit I'm getting much too ahead of myself and I'm sorry for that.
At any rate, certainly looking forward to more of this.
Excellent work on this latest chapter. Definitely appreciated the work that went into the dialogue, characterizations, action and future chapter set-up. Really appreciated Arizona's family moment before meeting with the buffalo. Glad to see Arizona earning Strongheart's respect and vice-versa.

REALLY appreciated Strongheart, Silverstar and Braeburn trying to keep Arizona from doing anything too rash in case they got their information wrong, even if, in this case, it looks like they got it right. Also really liked Arizona showing her assailants she is not exactly easy prey. And, yeah, the encounter with the Sha-Bull is a pretty good cliffhanger.
Very definitely looking forward to more of this.
