Upon an accidental slipup during a royal address about said zebra, Twilight and her nation pay a very heavy price.

Interesting take on the fall of G4 nation. I wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that Twi apparently took ALL magic and hid it in order to keep it away from the new villain. It did not specify pony-magic, but ALL magic. That would be another reason for any hostility towards ponies from many sources I bet.
