What the hell? Care Bear!
this story is going to be awesome.
i was kind of thinking Chip or Dale or posable Monetary. :derpyderp2:
i will be keeping a vary close eye on this story.

Oh dear.

Sunset, what the fuck did you do!?

well ok this story is going to be full of twist and turns.

i like this as it makes for a fun read.

Well this is... interesting to say the least.

The Hasbro extended universe will be much darker than the shows they come from. There will be multiple major arcs, each of the earlier arcs will deal with a different universe. This first arc is dealing with Care Bears, a very dystopian version of Care Bears.

Expect future arcs to deal with other Hazbro properties. We are going to go through all the major classic 80s lines.

well crap things just turned shitty.

Can I get some water over here? Because the plot just keeps getting thicker and thicker.

Empathy meting everyone was way smother then i guessed.
witch means the crap is going to hit some were.

One last adventure before leaving it to younger generations. This time dealing with other universes. No one could say she wasn't going out with a bang.

This is going to be a Death Star explosion level of bang, isn't it?

This plot just keeps getting thicker and thicker. We're quickly on course for "heart of a neutron star" type thick.

"Just stating two steps ahead of the competition.

Staying.

Will this story be as long as the previous one?

This one will be long, as it is getting subdivided into significant arcs. The first number of the chapter represents what arc we are on, while the second will represent the chapter of that arc.

My knowledge on the Great Old Ones is limited. Who exactly is Sha'am Maut?

Giving a brief history lesson since there are millions of words of backstory.

Sha'am Maut was one of the original six Dreamwardens on Earth, along with Phobia Remedy, Yinyu Wu Yan, Ghadab, Krik, and Psyhic Calm. Each had a title Warden of ______. Phobia is the Warden of Fear. Sha'am Maut was the Warden of Death. The others, in order named above, were Lust (or called Passion in some parts of the world), Anger (sometimes titled Vengeance or Justice in some parts of the world), Silence (sometimes called the Secret Keeper or The Unspeaking), and Peace. Luna is the sole Dreamwarden of Equestria, having complete authority over Equestria's dream realm. The six split authority over our universe's dream realm and work as a team to manage it. A Dreamwarden who goes to another universe is not a Dreamwarden in that universe, but can appoint a Dreamwarden in that universe, this is what Luna did when she appointed the six.

Sha'am Maut was chosen by Luna to be one of the original six Dreamwardens of Earth because she was viewed as an uncompromising enforcer who would push for the stricter punishments when needed when the others couldn't stomach it. The original six were chosen with the intent that their varying personalities would balance each other out and justice would be given fairly, but due to circumstances she gained dominance over the others in the early days.

Sha'am was known for being very brutal. Torturing those who so much as used the wrong tone of voice towards her. Her brutality went on for about six months before the other five collectively censored her, bringing her reign of terror to an end. There was even a failed attempt to pressure her into retirement to Equestria by Luna and the other Dreamwardens, but she threatened suicide and binding herself as an incorpreal being in the dream realm if they attempted to force her to Equestria, and they relented.

Sha'am was over a hundred years old when she had been chosen, and passed away within three years. She, like the other Dreamwardens who die on Earth, persisted in our universe's dream realm (each universe has one), although still holding to the censor. She finally retired and locked herself away in the Eternal Dream after the Cataclysm of Riverview, and Arbiter took up her position. She has since been reincarnated, although her new incarnation doesn't normally remember anything from her life, nor does it have the power of Dreamwarden. The reincarnation did actually make a brief cameo appearance in this story, Moses.

Arbiter died during the Catacylsm, in the act of causing it, immediately after assuming role as a Dreamwarden. Ghadab died right before the Cataclysm during a genocide against his Beaudoin pony tribe and Yinyu about a year after that while defending her foals from China. All three persist as undead wardens in the dream realm. Psychic Calm and Krik both retired to Equestria after successor for them were chosen and as of this story, both have passed away from old age and do not persist anywhere. Krik's successor has actually retired to Equestria as well by this story. Phobia is the last still flesh and blood Dreamwarden out of the original six, although Yinyu and Ghadab still exist as incorpreal beings in dreams. The Marshmallow (Warden of Creativity) was the chosen successor of Psychic Calm, chosen specifically because she wasn't intimidating, and also viewed as lighthearted. This was keeping with the idea they tried to maintain some balance in personalities.

well in a way Phobia has a good point and at the same time she needs a good beat down along with several of the Dreamwardens,
i am reminded of a saying.
Power corrupts and Absolute power corrupts Absolutely.

in short "Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it"
the Dreamwardens need some kind of watchdog that has the power to smack them down hard and or remove them the hard way.

sure sounds like moving day is soon.

Oh fuck. the bears just fucked up major. Sunset will burn there hole planet to cinders.

they killed...Mèng…

As she should. She's a living, breathing, cursing, tactical nuclear cannon. She is the Godzilla threshold.

you played the two chapters perfectly.
this chapter shows so much truth and shines a vary bright light on life in general.

So the enemy is basically the Replicators from Stargate SG1?

11212914
Haven't actually seen that show.

The Devourers are machines designed to destroy magic and are immune to direct magical assault. They absorb magic and have weapons capable of destroying planets. They were designed by an ancient civilization that feared magic, and ironically, that civ was the first to fall to them, as they were currently going through a magical awakening. The natural state of our universe is for civilizations to evolve and develop magic, so literally every civilization in the universe upon reaching a certain point becomes a target. Ours has taken longer than normal to reach that point, possibly as a defense mechanism, but the arrival of ponies jump started that and put us in the Devourers sights. They can detect active magic at any distance and always target the closest source to them. Hey have wiped out every civ in the universe this far. It takes them time to get to us, even with the extreme speeds they can travel, but they have been coming since ponies arrived.

in my opinion it would be more interesting if the guards could not create a guardian in this new universe because that dreamland works on different laws.

i like the new title and the new art work is ok.

this chapter is amazing and i can see Sunset is going to have a hard time selling her self as head Mare.

11218561
That would certainly make a lot of sense.

I'm wondering if the autobots could help deal with the incoming devourers.

Things are getting very deep, very fast.

My understanding of what's gone into creating this universe is very limited. Hearing about the Devourers, the first thought that sprang to mind was using the sun as a shield, provided it's on the opposite side the Devourers are coming from at the time. Put a magical beacon in the vicinity of the sun to attract them to the beacon first, where hopefully the blazing heat from the sun's surface will be enough to incinerate them right down to their atoms.

I'm already confused3. Should I have read the prequel?

The prequel does explain how Charlotte and her family came to be time displaced, but you can just go with it and accept that she's time displaced and her sister changes species by adjusting earrings. This one does get 'out there' in its concepts.

"I ask the questions," Sunset repeated and gave Charlotte a dirty look. What? Asking for its name was not a big deal. Better than calling it 'the elephant'.

Wow, Sunset seems like a dipshit. She's even mean to herself when she's trying to help!

Sunset reminds me of Burghley from Deltarune. She is a total jerk, thinks she's better than everyone, and isn't on good terms with the main character, but also isn't the main villain. That isn't really that many parallels. But at least I could sympathize with Burghley because he reminded me of an extroverted version of me.

Earth's equivalent of Luna, only split between six individuals. They have absolute authority over the dream realm, police mind magic usage, have memories from previous Dreamwardens, and persist in the dream realm after their bodies die (the last one they try very hard to avoid, which is why the flee to Equestria after a certain age. They aren't Dreamwardens in Equestria, that is Luna, so when they die they won't persist there).

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Triss' family scavenging and selling that useless junk is what made the development of these Devourers possible in the first place. The nature of said junk would certainly explain why every other world has fallen to them.

A Dreamwarden wanted her dead. She should be running, but who could escape a Dreamwarden?

I think there's a lot I'm not aware of, but what's so scary about that? If she's the equivalent of Luna, wouldn't the most she could do be to give Charlotte nightmares, and maybe figure out what she's going to do next?

Lots of knowledge, devoted followers, and a willingness to go to extremes to accomplish a goal. What separates her from the random radicals that attack is that knowledge and the extremes she is willing to go. Sunset Blessing deals with would be assassins all the time, but she doesn't deal with assassins that have been carefully instructed on how to make some alien weapon to blow up the entire city block the manor sits on rather than try to break in– not saying she would take that exact route, but giving an example of what kind of thing she could do.

Narrative is described in the second story of the series

TPandemic: Aftermath
The ETS pandemic has been over for six months, but humanity has yet to fully deal with its large pony population.

and only infrequently appears in the series. Basically, Equestria has Harmony and it's outlet to interact with people is The Tree of Harmony. Consider the Tree of Harmony like the consciousness or will of Harmony.

Our universe has the Story instead of Harmony, and it interacts through the Narrative. The Narrative is the consciousness or will of the Story.

wow this is a amazing look at a good deal of Sunset Blessing's back story.
i am so liking the hole story.

I regret that this story isn't getting the amount of views and comments it deserves.

Her dad whistled. "That's not something you see outside a porno; a pony riding a pony."

Charles, sir, exactly how would you know that?

Well that's certainly a good reason for why Luna wasn't kicking Chrysalis' ass during the wedding.

Well this was certainly a creepy chapter. Nice, quiet, and disturbing.

Oh shit. Oh shit!

And here I thought the Transformers and Care Bears were in two entirely different alternate universes. So much for that hope.

But where there's Transformers, there's Optimus Prime!

Oh i like this chapter. the part were Charlotte meats the traveler is awesome.

More and more world building going on here.

And why is it that Starscream is the first Decepticon to pop into my mind when I read about one of them losing their gun due to clumsiness when a building fell on them?

"You don't know me as well as you think," Charlotte growled. She then looked at Josie. "And stop comparing me with Sunset. I'm not her! Sunset can go fuck herself."

Josie chuckled. "You might want to reconsider your choice of words, given who you are."

This team was made of horrible people. At least when they came from Earth.

I laughed so much harder than I should have at that passage.

two awesome chapters.
i do have a feeling that destroying the bracelet was a vary bad idea. :scootangel:

so the traveler has spoken ..
this story is really interesting in how it is twisting and moving.

Might want to change the title of this chapter. You've got nanor instead of manor.
