Charles Farrow

I’ve always wanted to tell stories, I’ve always struggled to do so. I wish and hope that I will be able to one day.

T

Change... It always happened, no matter what anyone or anything tried to do about it, for good or bad change was a given. Still... Chrysalis had almost managed to change the fate of her hive to her whims, she had stood at the cusp of greatness and failed to grasp it.
Instead the Queen of Changelings had suffered a catastrophic blow.
She and her brood were blasted far away into the desolate badlands.
She had failed to change just as her mother before her...

But change did not play favorites. And Chrysalis still had a part to play.

As she lay broken and beaten within an inch of her life fighting for what little of it she had left, something in the sky shook in agony and shock, as an entity not meant for this world crashed into it. Something very old and alien. Something kind and wise. Something terrible and awe inspiring.
Something blue and something changed...

And the universe would never be the same...

Interesting so far, looking forward what will actually be the story plot on this one.

The crossover seems interesting, but seeing your other stories that didn't make it past two chapters... I have concerns that this story won't go far either.

I'm glad you're interested so far! I've got some ideas for how I want to take it so far, but I'm unsure if I want to focus on much of an overarching Plot, Doctor Who is usually episodic, or anthological, so it may not be totally linear in terms of the story, but I also don't intend to fully go for the monster of the week style that the show follows. I've never gotten very far into writing a story fully, so I'll be interested as well to see how I do! ^^

Thank you for checking it out so far, and I hope you'll enjoy what's to come :twilightsheepish:

A valid concern to be quite honest, and not the first time I've heard said sentiment. I have suffered from somewhat of a Valve symptom of never making it past 3 in the past, but I'd say it's less to do with loosing interest in the fic, but rather more so a combination of setting too high expectations for myself and dealing with some mental problems that have plagued me for most my life.

I'm hoping and dare I say it, dreaming of writing more than a single chapter this year, and I hope you'll hold me to it.
Though if you're curios as to the above, I wrote a somewhat lengthy blog post about it a few days back. I'll leave you a link if you'd like to see, but it's by no means required reading, there's also a tl:dr at the bottom.
Here's the blog.

Welp, a story featuring my favourite bug horse and the star of a franchise I've been meaning to get into possibly not as instant enemies or her as an obstacle to crush, count me in.

'their Smile now more genuine' - unneeded capital letter here, I think

Glad to hear I've caught a smidge of your interest! I hope to be able to keep it going forward, but regardless I thank you for checking out the story. Thanks for the heads-up btw, I'll go get that sucker sorted!:rainbowdetermined2:
I write partly by using a speech to text app and editing mistakes after, so some extra spaces or unnecessary capital letters may appear here or there, but I'm sure they'll be swiftly rectified and amended with keen eyes like yours.

I don't know much about Doctor Who other than what I got through cultural osmosis, but I will watch with interest how this goes. :)

A cosmic creature who has lived for more than 1000 years and who in the past carried out genocides of creatures opposing him meets and subsequently begins to love a race of intelligent beetles.
Something about the synopsis of this story made me draw parallels with Omni-Man from the Invincible series. :D

Glad to have you! I just so happened to finish chapter two, so you can check that out when It's up.
I'm mostly a fan of New Who, as it's called, and even then I can't remember everything, so don't you worry my friend.

As long as you don't expect me to remember every bit of lore, I won't expect you to get every reference
Honestly, you being unfamiliar with the show may just give me the benefit of the doubt when it comes to my rather untrained writing abilities :twilightsheepish:

You know, not what I was going for, but I can't deny the similarities.
Though I'm most certainly not taking the story in the direction of that show, I would need to increase the pg-13 rating if that were the case. :moustache:

Being largely ignorant of major piece of pop-culture has its benefits. :D

Lol.
rated pg-13 but the story has tags like "Gore" and "Sex" :D

That's gonna leave a mark.

>.> And like that I like that poor drone more than any canon changelings that seemed to be only too happy to blame all their actions solely on her and leave her out to dry.

Reading your previous comment, that'd explain the weird sentence splits at certain points. It's still very much readable and now that I know why they're there, they're easier to ignore. :B
