That's...not quite the direction I expected the story to go. Sure, the tags kind of gave it away, but I wasn't expecting the story to pull it off so well!
The fact you've managed to make Pinkie Pie into psychological horror incarnate, while keeping her personality mostly intact, is truly a testament to your skill. And Sombra's time in the spotlight is short, but really sweet.

Other than that, very interesting story. Very believable characterization, and quite befitting of the tragedy tag. The scene where Pinkie (not Queen Meanie, remember her name) snaps at Shiny and Cadance was perfect, showing just how broken she is. Her laughter isn't her finding humor in her subjects' or enemies' pain, it's a call for help, a plea for someone to help her, to take the pain away, to make Mommy not have left her. You leave the reader simultaneously wanting to see her taken down to free her subjects from her tyranny and so that she can receive the help she needs. She is both the Big Bad and a filly in desperate need of a hug.

There’s quite a few comedic lines and gags in here. Grammar is mostly good.
Story was a little heavy on the exposition, but not in that Pinkie’s storytelling was repetitive or boring. It’s just that there was very little of anything else. It would have been nice to see more of her relationship with Shining and Cadance, or to explore a bit of the Empire beyond the single cook.
Sombra’s section was just pure silliness.

Pinkie and Sombra is a unique roleswap.
Pinkie Pie’s personality is almost the default evil-Pinkie, similar to the one in Cupcakes and other similar stories.
However, the backstory is unique. Thrust into a responsibility she didn’t want with the death of her mother, Pinkie Pie just… breaks. It’s very interesting.
Sombra just seems to be constantly in pain, can’t really talk, and loves pop references? Not the most complex Sombra roleswap I’ve seen, but it’s entertaining.

As far as I could tell, barely any reuniting happened in this story. Pinkie returned from her banishment, but it wasn’t elaborated on; you spent most of that scene talking about how Pinkie got herself in that position.
