Horny beam..... GO!
Quick translation: "And fuck you in particular."
Hmmm, why do I feel the Magus is about to get a 'better' and faster cove treatment ...
11737096
Nope, not beam...ball, as in fireball, close blast, no less!
THIS is how I expected the humans to respond to Gilda’s infidelity. This is a response that makes sense. Reprimanding her for an action while understandable, but still fundamentally wrong. Though willing to give her a chance to state her case and atone. The human section of this revelation was too quick to a resolution in my mind.
The griffon response reports with me on a moral level, and therefore much more satisfying.
11737096
In a manner of speaking... You’ll see what I mean next chapter.
11737111
Maybe, but there is still no greater fuck you in entertainment history than the one delivered by Tien in DBZ Abridged by Team Four Star:
11737117
Why limit it to the Magus? And why not use it as an opportunity for the Queen to wax philosophical about Changeling culture, history, and their place in the world?
11737177
You’re correct that it’s not a beam, but I guess you could call what she’s about to unleash a ball of sorts...
11737322
Then I’m glad this one meets with your approval. We already discussed this, but I just didn’t have enough storytime to do more than what I did for the human section. It had to be a quick section, but in part because of what you said back then, I resolved to do a more thorough exploration later. Here was the result.
I’m glad. I tried very hard to make reactions realistic here, and it sounds like I succeeded.
Isn't herding for Equines and flocking for Avians?
Wow... Cipio is truly beyond redeeming himself in my eyes. His death in my eyes is as necessary as the defeat of the cloven of the sun.
Unlike Gilda, did the magus actually betray the direct orders of their superiors.
If Gilda get any consequences i sure as hell hope the Magus is suffering her due punishment. Just like Cipio acted a lot worse than Gilda ever did.
11737429
I suppose it could be, but I haven’t actually used the term ‘flocking’ anywhere in the story, since that’s not something Griffons generally do. They know the words herds and harems since they’re familiar with the Ponies and Saddle Arabians, who define them.
Wait one more chapter to decide if he’s irredeemable.
She did. Both of them. As the Queen said, she thinks she’s doing her duty, but she’s also not listening. So you can be sure that Queen Lepidoptes will fix that.
All the answers will be in the next chapter. You’ll hopefully be happy to know that I’m planning something Eros-level for this one.
She didn't even singel herself and her Paladins out 👍
Orgy for the history books incoming?
11737518
👍
I feel like… when Marco and Gilda do eventually get to the mating round, the cider is gonna be a big factor in it
11737551
You’re right. I might have to modify that a bit since it’s bothering me now... done.
I don’t know... the Changeling history books already have a lot of memorable ones!
11737620
We’ll have to see. I’m not being coy; I honestly haven’t looked that far ahead yet. I could see them deciding to suppress the effect so it doesn’t taint the round, wanting their passion earned legimitately by griffon standards. Still plenty of time to think about it.
Princess Cadence will be taking detailed notes?
Lets see...
-Gilda has a inhibitions suppressing and emotion boosting cider in her.
-Gilda was under Changeling spells amplifiers that boost the ciders effect.
I would say them not rutting or killing one another was impossible. Better the first than the second after all.
How is sleeping with someone by extreamly emotion manipulation be considered treason
Wasn't that authority given by the Griffon queen herself? There for treason by definition to no acknowledge it?
Afraid? Isn't that a misplaced idiom?
Also destroying part of the Ship would be wanting destruction of a ally sovereign property and endangering of minors.
Its that a a execution or lifetime sentance by default?
11737705
Nope, it's a correct usage. Witness the following quote from Return of the Jedi....
11737781
I see, so it was 'Sarcasmus' - the use of irony to mock or convey contempt for something or someone.
11737789
Kinda... the way the Queen used it was more of an apologetic. RotJ may not have been the best example. I think the way HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey used it is closer to the way the Queen did.
11737705
You’re not wrong, but the others won’t see or understand that until they’re made to feel it.
Well, you’re sleeping with an enemy of your race, basically, and the Queen said that it wouldn’t have happened unless an attraction was already there. And the others still don’t accept that at the time, she really couldn’t fight it. But that will change shortly.
Again, you’re not wrong, but her loyalty is to the Tribune, which is something that Queen Lepidoptes can actually turn against her.
Nope. It’s a figure of speech in that case. That’s basically like saying “Sorry, but not sorry, I’m doing this whether you like it or not.”
I wouldn’t really call it treason since she’s trying to defend the Tribune, even if she’s going about it in a very misguided way. Treason requires intent, and there’s no intent to betray the Kingdom here. If you asked her, she’d say that she’s serving the Kingdom by saving the Tribune, and that she’s disobeying her own Queen right now doesn’t really enter into her thinking. None of which is to say she shouldn’t she be punished for acting impulsively and refusing valid orders, but the Queen will take care of that shortly.
11737634
And be very jealous!
I am suddenly and inexplicably afraid to see just what she has planned...
11738883
That’s why there will be both M-rated and T-rated versions.
But lest you think it’s just going to be a clopfest, there’s going to be a ton of interesting Changeling lore and worldbuilding in the next chapter, as well as a resolution to the various disputes. So even if you’re not into the adult stuff, there should be plenty of other compelling content.
I wonder if Lyra joins the war to get some human action
Something along the lines of:

Anyway I wonder what Equestria will send to help the Griffons out.
Looking forward to anything.

First, i want to say that i am loving the story.
Now with that out of the way ... Tle last 2 or so chapers made me feel profoundly uncomfortable...
Spoiles for he story now:
While Cipho is a shithead, with the info he had he certanly made the right tactical choices. As for Gilda ... As much as i want to agree with her, she is definetly in the wrong regarding her incident, no matter how accidental it was. Therefore she should be punished for it. And in regards to what has happened in last chapter and this one ... Holy shit this is all going so wrong. Between forcing Cipho to see unwanted memories, being held hostage, denying his release, threatening violence ... Idk it jsut bakes me feel like ... Holy shit how is this okay in anyones eyes. No matter how much of a shitter Cipho is. Like this is national level abuse of pover or some shit right?
So ye, thats how i feel about this story right now. I love it, and i really want to love it but damn, what is everyone thinking doing that sort of thing?
class is in ans someone is about to be schooled hard.
i love it.
The next big enemy will make even the mighty hesitate...
Even the Cloven will learn to fear them if they ever evolve civilization and culture.
Cannot wait for the next chapter 😊👏🏻 I have been enjoying the characters charms and the lore behind the story so much

Depends on what version of Lyra this is. If it’s the show version, maybe she’ll insist on accompanying Special Agent Sugar Drops into battle. If it’s the one implied by Firefly and AJ_Aficionado’s all-time favorite stories in the Xenoverse, then she’s a Zen master of sorts, wielding the Still Way Technique passed down her family tree from her seven hundred year-old Ancestor, the original Still Way, who you saw in Firefly.
I already know, but I’m not going to say here. Some things I simply won’t spoil. Will hippogriffs appear? We’ll just have to see.
11742800
And believe me, I appreciate your interest and patronage.
For my full response, I direct you to my latest blog post: https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/1026649/oops
But I'll also answer here, and keep it likewise spoilered: First and foremost, Cipio insulted and offended the Queen, throwing her hospitality back in her face. And even before that, he abused her trust by forcing her and hive into the open instead of rescuing the humans, making them lose their longtime home. You do all that to the head of state of a sorely needed ally, you’re going to have to answer for it, and given he’s the Queen’s lover (even unwittingly) and the Changelings have a highly sexualized society, why wouldn’t she require a sexual penance?
The Queen is also fully aware that in his current state, Cipio is acting on his emotions and fears, which could be fatal to the city if he bases military decisions on them. She intends to cure him of that, and given she knows his mind and needs intimately, she can certainly do it. As for Gilda and the others, you ask me how they can be okay with this? I would simply respond: why wouldn’t they be?
Think about it. Their cider-lowered inhibitions aside, Gilda wants Cipio punished and has from the start, so she’s not at all acting out of character here, especially under the influence. Giraldi likewise recognizes that the Tribune is not thinking clearly and isn’t fit for command right now, though he’s too respectful to say it, trusting the Queen to deal with him after all he’s seen from her.
The Ravens definitely aren’t happy with the Tribune either, given they lost several of their number in the battles around the Lake, and having seen human weapons in action, they know as well as Gilda how foolish and reckless Cipio was in risking the humans. And as Obsidian Ire doesn’t like Cipio at all, her to-hell-with-him reaction is the probably the most understandable of the group. All that leaves is Fortrakt and Optio Virgo, and Fortrakt definitely doesn't approve of his actions either while the Optio Virgo is now quite taken with Gilda and her group. So respectfully, I really don’t think the Tribune would have many defenders here other than the Magus and two Paladins.
So when all is said done, the question you ask is: How is this okay? I would simply ask in response: Why is it not? If you commit a crime on foreign soil, then you are punished by that foreign nation under their terms and laws. Changeling society revolves around sex and extracting love, so it makes perfect sense that any attitude adjustments or punishments the Queen could order would involve that as well. Their ship, their rules.
And finally, the Queen is not being selfish here. She's trying to save both her hive and the Kingdom, and she recognizes that they need Cipio's proven ability to command the city, but only if he's not acting like a teen eagless frightened by her first heat. Her intention is to free him of his fears and forge an agreement between him and Gilda, who she recognizes will be needed as well to help integrate the humans into the Kingdom's war effort.
Now all that said, I've thought about what you said about Gilda being in the wrong. Upon reflection, I do agree that some form of punishment is probably called for in Gilda's case as well, given she was derelict of duty and severely abused her command chain's authority. So I will endeavor to address that in the coming chapter.
You have an answer now, so I’d simply ask that you consider it carefully. I’m truly sorry you’re not comfortable with this, but I’m not going to change it, either. There will be M-rated and T-rated versions of the next chapter, so if you’re not comfortable with the M-rated action, read the T-rated version, which even shorn of the adult scenes will have all the lore as well as slightly alternate and perhaps more palatable version of events.
11742885
Several someones, in fact!
11744701
If the IRS ever comes to Equestria, it would very much be the end of Tellus as we know it.
11745506
Thanks! You’ll be happy to know that you’re about to get a big Changeling lore dump in the next chapter, served as a series of hopefully tasty side dishes to the main course of Eros-level M-rated action.
11749020
Omg i cannot wait, the changlings are unique in the story. Thank you so much 😊
11749094
You’re very welcome! Appreciate the enthusiasm, but I’d be remiss to not point out that much of the lore I’m using for the Changelings was either originated by or built upon the lore developed by former Fimfiction author and partner in crime Denim_Blue. He’s left the fandom and deleted his account, unfortunately, but he loved the Changelings and did some very interesting things with them that I’m now carrying forward into this story.
*sigh* You’re still missed, Denim...
11749015
Well, i still kind of feel like from readers point of view this is basically Kidnapping of political official as well as nonconsensual sexual acts
That being said ... I DO see your point now that you have explained it from characters point of view. And i find myself agreeing with the logic somewhat.
I am also thankful you didnt dismiss my coment about Gilda.
As for the ratings, i dont mind Mature, but depending on the mood i read Teen version too, so i am thankful you go the extra lenght to release both.
Thank you for your coment, cant wait to see the next chapter and how it goes. Even if i am not personally enjoying this Changeling arc that much, I am very hyped abut the whole story and want to see where it will go next.
I wonder how this is going to pan out for the humans, seeing your liaison officer fight the local superior isn't going to do much for moral and fighting spirit.
11753411
Actually, I disagree. Given nobody’s happy with Cipio right now, they’d probably be very happy to see her standing up for them so directly, feeling even more loyal to her afterwards. I would be a morale boost, I think.
11749233
Remember that these aren't normal times or circumstances. If Cipio leaves now, his actions and reports are going to be tainted by his emotional distress to the detriment of all Aricia, and the Queen knows it—remember that she's got the experience of countless wars and battles in her inherited memory, so she's seen (or her ancestors have) what that can lead to. For the sake of everycreature, she's going to get him past his fears and set him straight. So to speak...
I'm glad. And you're welcome. I try very hard to listen to feedback and incorporate it when I think a prereader or regular reader has a good point. I thank you in turn for being willing to listen and hear me out. My experience, unfortunately, is not every reader is.
You're welcome there as well. As an author, I'm not always in a mood to write mature stuff, either. In fact, sometimes, I need not to. That's why I'm kind of missing Firefly now, because that was my go-to story for non-adult works. It gave me a break from sex and let me focus on something else while my erotic batteries recharged. And it helped that it was really fun to write, too.
Appreciate the enthusiasm! The Changeling arc will conclude in the coming chapter with both figurative and literal climaxes. Whether the T-rated or M-rated version, expect the Queen herself to address several of your earlier points and worries as events unfold.
11754104
I am glad to hear all if this
I am also very much hyped for whats next
And lastly, since you mentioned it .... hype for Firefly ... Whenever the next one comes. Its by far one of my most favorite story on the site
11754666
Good taste my fellow readers.
This story is like a fine whine:
11749018
Something worse than the Cloven of the Sun perhaps.
Maybe the IRS is the Cloven in disguise?
Reader base blowing up the server activity next update:
Man I can’t wait for the next update
11773117
I see you’ve caught up with the story! Good to see you’re enjoying it, and you won’t have long to wait. The next chapter and possibly two will be out by Christmas. It will be very adult, meaning both M-rated and T-rated versions will be released. Be following my blog for updates on the exact release schedule and possible teasers.
11767722
Oh right
11774292
LETS GOOOO

Since I might not have the time sending this in time.
Have a great time everyone ♡
