For those curious, Gilda’s vision of herself as a human along with Rainbow Dash is a reference to my M-rated story Harmonic Resonance, where the Equestria Girls become goddesses and Rainbow Dash (who becomes “Hyperdash”) has the ability to pass between realities by traversing black holes at superluminal speeds. She shows her girlfriend Gilda this particular reality, wanting her to see the hero she becomes and who she ends up with. As this is the teenage Gilda, she’s still more or less her first-season self and acts accordingly. Hey, when you can explore the multiverse, that means you can see every verse and story on Fimfiction!

Be advised the story is very M-rated, being a clopfic commission showing the highly sexual ascension of each of the Humane 6 in turn. But if that’s your thing, feel free to check it out. And if not? Well, just consider it me being shamelessly self-referential again.
Very well worth the wait.
Kinda hoped for more verbal flak for Cipio...
Damn... Live hosts, Zerg like indeed!
Question: The lone parasitic night raid idea of mine, inspired the Changeling patrols or did it was a general idea? Most like the second, but might i say that i like to see the Cloven try and make Changeling all the more valuable!?
Cipio might be a great tactician, but his social skills need work...
After seeing Gilda just tearing into Tribune Cipio, I am just DYING to see what happens in the conference room on the Queen's ship. I'm very much hoping that Marco or one of the Marines gets to verbally tear him a new one. Maybe show the Tribune all their casualties... maybe even shove their rifle barrels right into his crow-damned beak.

Thanks!
Wait one chapter. What you read here were just a few ranging attacks. They’re not going to truly go off until they’re in private.
The Cloven is endlessly adaptable. Exactly how they do it remains to be seen...
You’ll see this explored a bit more next chapter, but in short: Now that the Cloven are fully aware of the Lepidoptes hive, you can bet they’ll be as much a priority target as the humans.
Not to worry. A certain shapeshifting Queen already has a lot of experience in loosening him up.

Wait one week, and you’ll get your answer. As for the casualties, he’s already gotten a sense of them. And I can tell you right now that he doesn’t care. Is he callous and unfeeling? No, it’s not that simple. But sorry, no further spoilers. You’ll have to read the next chapter to fully understand what he’s been through in the past day.
Damn, is Gilda going to fight her superior officer and has him do the deed with Archon Archex as winning condition?
11533045
Sorry if this disappoints you, but no, that’s definitely not the plan. Besides, a certain Queen already has claim to the Tribune’s tail.
Looking forward to what happens in the meeting room. And what happens after that weapons demonstration.

You won’t have long to wait. A week at most. The weapons demo might take a surprising form, though...
now THIS sounds more like Gilda we know from the show
I'm actually surprised how well it fits to the tone of the story
great work with this chapter as usual. I really consider this story to be one of my top favorites
also... question... probably stupid one
how do you quote specific parts of the people's responses all in one reply?
wanted to reply to some specific parts but I don't know how
11532548
honestly.... I still think that Cipio is a good guy who did what he considered to be the right thing.
Yes I like him being served some humble pie, but I think this must be very hard for him and he may feel unjustly berrated.
Also as military commnader he is probably not used to being a diplomat, or to have his orders questioned

And she relishes being able to act like this again. She usually has to suppress it for her military service. Finally, she can cut loose!
Appreciated! It’s become my favorite to write, too.
You copy the text in and then put it inside [ quote ] [ /quote ] tags (remove the spaces to use it for real). You can do that by highlighting the text in the comment, and then click on the double-quotation mark in the menu above the comment text entry window.

You’ll get his side of the story in the next chapter, but suffice it to say, he’s not about to give Gilda everything she wants. Whether new information changes his mind remains to be seen, but in the end, they’re both going to have to give a little here in order to reach any kind of accord.
Indeed. He’s used to absolute and unquestioned obedience, and not getting them can be a very dangerous thing in wartime.
WHYYYYYYYYYY CLIFFHANGER WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Seriously though, amazing chapter, and can't wait for the next! ^^

Your timing is impeccable, given I just now posted the next chapter. Enjoy!
Cipio has so many red flags that I am confused how he thinks he can just pull through without consequences. But perhaps he is as sleepless as Gilda was before and there for he is impeded in his logical and tactical thinking due to mental fatigue.
I once was at a lan party for 2 days without sleep and on energy drinks, at some point thinking straight or anything similar simply becomes nearly impossible.
Cipio sure knows how to screw up with foreign powers and military personnel
Cipio dismissal of tactical information and demonstration makes him look incompetent.
Why he didn't use what he things is a insufficient reason to elevate human capabilities, a smart tactician would use it to his advantage.
He is arrogant beyond reasoning, that is unacceptable and bearly understandable.
Though I wonder if Cipio is really useful, why he is acting like a idiot? Even a regular intelligent citizen would at least give lip service to the allies of his nation, especially in war times.
The Changelings just saved his ass from Cloven assasins, so why by the flying turkey, would he be a asshole regardless?
That would have summed it up nicely, had you used that!
Cipio didn't know it better, yet he certainly can see that he can't just strong arm everyone and go through with everything unchallanged.
But Gilda definitely has escalated to quickly, she should have given Cipio more rope to hang himself before starting the verbal warfare.
Sadly enough in most tactic games there are canon fodder to buy time to amassing a bigger force or fulfilling critical objectives. In that regard Cipio was quite successful. But how he did it was usually not acceptable in the long run.
Though the long run don't even come to fruition in the short term losing of the war.
Mistakes have been made... growing and adaptation will be the only way to survive.
Responsibility and accountability as well morale are to be considered now.
Because when ever moral is a issue, consequences follow.
