While the original had too many gore, your reimagening needs more of it. Not gore tbh, but more deaths and cool ways to do them. Thats why i'm a Saw fan, to see if they survive or not. Really, have cheerilee kill two or three more children and you've had the best one yet. Also, being dropped in this AU without warning was a dizzy. Complains aside, it was super fun reading this, personality is on point and cheerilee doesnt scream 'i dont know what mental illness means' type edgy. Solid 8/10.
