dusk seems to be taking having twis cutie-mark smashed better than I expected.
10341762
she is likely to have another break down at a monement of peace but thanks to pinkie it shouldnt be so bad as she stopped dusk from just loosing it completly
with the docters help would it be possible to contact other gods an beings easyer?
yeah Pinkie will HATE Joker.. if he was real.
Hey, seeing that the Multiunverse will be involved in someway, could they encounter my ponysona Gargon at some point?
Reads chapter* awwww.... *puts away heavy Thermite launcher* no killing today....
10341891
I know, it's a shame, but we can't go torching people just for the fun of it if they're sorry.
10341850
I will think about it. Right now my brain is too fried from lack of sleep to think about anything. I'm just going to say now that I'm not a huge fan of characters who make sure things happen the way they are "supposed" to. Also the one I have selected that Duskfall will come into contact with on the Winter Solstice would likely have uncontrollable snarking fits around Gargon, if not get into constant fights with him. Actually, there's no likely about it.
He, Lady Fate, and her Lieutenants get along like oil and water. Gargon sounds very much like a Lieutenant of Lady Fate or a high ranking minion at the very least.
Maybe send me a few examples of how Gargon goes about "fixing" the timeline and I'll see if he would at least tolerate Gargon. You don't become a Lieutenant of Lord Death without having some self-control, even if he rarely sees fit to exercise it. But fair warning, even if he does decide to largely ignore Gargon, he will 100% pick a fight with the Protheans, no exceptions. His family has a bit of a history when dealing with Protheans, both his great great grandfather and his offspring. The only reason Javik avoided long stays in Dr. Chakwas' care is because Shepard forced them to play nice. Even then, shouting matches were not uncommon on the Normandy between the two.
Kasumi sold tickets and Garrus brought the popcorn. Grunt never missed a show after they pulled him out of that Rachni nest.
10341786
Unfortunately not. Even if the Doctor somehow convinced a god or goddess to hitch a ride on his TARDIS, due to the Barrier, they wouldn't be able to perceive Equuis at all. That's a large portion of the reason Harmonia would take so long. She has to program in exceptions into what was originally a blanket statement on top of everything else.
10341797
But Joker is real. Multiverse, remember? All possibilities have happened, are happening, and will happen. However, protections will be put in place later down the line to ensure almost no version of the Joker ever steps foot on Equuis.
Pinkie is totally gonna flip out when she realizes this, btw.
10341762
Twilight and Tom were both master compartmentalizers. Duskfall is taking her raging mental trauma and putting in a nice little box before kicking it into the darkest part of her psyche to never be seen again. as if that'd work forever!
10341784
Pinkie basically stepped in just in time to keep Duskfall's Heart from shattering under the strain of her broken Mind. If that'd happened, you'd be looking at Duskfall, first Nobody of Equestria!
10341930
oh how did the docter get in and out then and would it work if they just took dusk to another god instend of them to dusk
10341936
The Doctor isn't a native of Equuis, but he isn't a god or spirit either, so the Barrier more or less ignores him since the TARDIS crash landed on Equuis.
As for the Barrier itself, think of it like those bubble things in Meet the Robinsons. Duskfall, who is a native of Equuis in body and half her Soul, would still be offered the same protections of the Barrier even if she went off world. So again we run into the problem of gods and whatnot being unable to perceive her.
10341948
so what you are saying is dusk could deck loki and he wouldent know what was going on?
10341958
That is quite the amusing image. Also entirely accurate. If The Doctor and Dusk could track down Loki, she could certainly punch him with him being none the wiser of what was going on.
Of course, that makes you wonder which version of Loki they'd find...
All beings of god status have multiple facets of their personality interacting with multiple dimensions at the same time. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Hades is the same guy as the Disney Hades is the same guy as Kid Icarus: Uprising Hades at their core. Hades just allows one aspect of himself the strength of his personality to dominate an entire kid's movie
Of course, they're not active in every dimension simultaneously. They're gods, not Concepts. That's why there's a whole host of gods, recognized on every world in creation through myth and legend. Sometimes new gods are even born, although this is pretty rare.
10341762
Remember dusk was about to lose her shit till pinkie knocked her out and while she was unconscious doctors work to heal the mental wounds and that combined with the 2-3 days rest allowed for enough healing to not be a huge issue. I do suspect starlight isnt gonna get as nice a treatment wen she inevitably meets nanoha's brand of friendship as well as the aptly named starlight breaker * pinkie manical laughter intensifies *
10341964
Hmm, am I cheesy enough and such an unoriginal hack that I would actually have Duskfall use the Starlight Breaker...? She might actually get Harmonia to teach it to her, now that I think about it...
I don't care how clever and powerful Glimmy is, she's never had to deal with a mare that is equal parts Human and Purple Smart who is Most Displeased. Yes, a Starlight Breaker to the face would be quite amusing...
10341925
Well, when he sees a timeline that went in a different way then the way the canon timeline went, he looks at where the change happened and what caused it. After that he checks to make sure it is an alt universe and if it is, sees if it really needs to be changed. For events like Starlight's time-war with Twilight, they are ignored because they are needed to advance the timeline.
Also Gargon and the group he leads are like the first line of defense for the Multiunverse alongside the Ancient Council if needed. There was a time when one of the Elder Gods from Lovecraftian mythology decided to challenge him to a flight where Gargon was able to keep his sanity together and injure the Elder God enough to drop the challenge and run away.
10342000
That sounds somewhat similar to a team Death's Lieutenant ran back when he was much younger. However his team was tasked more with keeping whole dimensions from collapsing from overexposure to a single Power. For example, when he was dropped in a Sailor Moon universe, he had to completely abort Crystal Tokyo, because there was an extremely powerful Light Blight that would have consumed all the Souls in the dimension had Crystal Tokyo come to pass and gone on to corrupt an entire segment of the Multiverse. Setsuna was not a happy camper when the Gates of Time first showed him messing with the timeline. It wasn't until later that she would learn the Gates of Time themselves were one of the primary sources of the corruption.
(That particular adventure he undertook when he was only 2000 years old and was still pretty clueless as to the complete scope of his duties. There was an incident when studying the Sailor Senshi's Magic that wound up nearly killing him because of sheer recklessness.)
As he will eventually explain, due to the nature of his duties, he is completely exempt from the machinations of Ladies Fate and Destiny. Lady Destiny is fine with that, but Lady Fate not so much. Lady Fate would often plague him with Nightmares of possible futures when he was younger until he struck a deal with her. No more Nightmares, but any time he preforms a Tarot Card Reading, they would be 100% accurate. He's also required to preform a Tarot Card Reading at least once every 50 years.
One of the reasons his species was created was to serve as natural 'predators' to the Lovecraftian Horrors. Almost every one of his species is able to consume their essence, thus greatly weakening them for a time. Thankfully, this isn't required very often. As Discord noted, they're mostly content to cause trouble amongst themselves. Great Old One essence tastes like moldy kelp, or so I'm told. As a certain offspring of Nyarlathotep would put it to him during a Christmas party when he was only 40 "In the Rock, Paper, Scissors of Creation, your species beats mine".
The other primary purpose of his species is to bare witness and record all of creation. They have perfect, nearly incorruptible memories and even the complete deletion of a timeline isn't enough to affect their memories. The only one, to date, able to affect the memories of his species (Who isn't God or a Concept) is a Level 5 Memory Witch he met when he was about 25 by the name of Naminé. The only reason she isn't a Level 6 is because the rankings stop at 5.
It might be interesting just to have them meet. Have any of Gargon's friends/comrades/lovers died? That'd probably give him a frame of reference to at least have heard of Gargon. He may not technically be a Reaper himself, but he gets saddled with a whole heck of a lot of the paperwork just because Lord Death knows he can't trust any of the mooks to keep decent records.
10341962
If you have a multiverse wherein gods have multi-dimensional aspects all originating from one core concept how does that play in with a soul? Is a "soul" equivalent to a "god concept"?
From the prior chapter you had already stated modifications to a soul such as fusing were *time independent to a degree so from that we know they are at least somewhat dimensionally unbound. Are souls also multi-dimensional aspects, i.e., the individuals in multiple dimensions all have some relationship to a specific soul or is that universe limited? I.e., if you grab a Twilight from a different but similar part of the multi-verse does she have any relationship to Duskfalls soul or is it a duplicate but similar soul? Because depending on that answer gets you to understanding the rules of soul engineering and leads to all kinds of interesting potential avenues for investigation.
I'm a scientist and engineer at heart I can't NOT try to "munchkin" the rules, especially when there are so many new rules and knowledge to
take advantage oflearn about.10342182
Well, first thing to make clear is that not every Twilight Sparkle in existence is a blooming goddess. For vast majority of realities with Equuis in them Alicorns are just extremely powerful and long lived mortals. There are also plenty of realities where Twilight doesn't ascend at all.
There is also a difference between a god that has been born and a god that has been made and a god that has ascended from mortality. Those that have been born are fleetingly rare and tend to house mortal Souls in immortal bodies. This can quite easily lead to "Mad God Syndrome" where the mortal Soul isn't equipped to deal with immortality and can grow sickly if the proper care isn't observed. Flurry Heart is a born goddess.
Those that have been made constitute the vast majority of gods and goddesses. They are specially crafted immortal Souls that were installed in their roles usually during or soon after the Creation Event / Big Bang. This is what allows their Souls and Minds to branch across multiple dimensions at the same time. A mortal Soul could do the same, but it would risk becoming torn apart in the Void Between. They are ready to fulfill their purpose as soon as they are created and require little or no direction from their related Concepts to get started. Despite what the myths say, Zeus and the rest of the Greek/Roman pantheon are created gods and goddesses.
Those that are elevated from mortality to godhood almost universally pass through the realm of Lord Death for a brief period of time while their mortal body is destroyed in the process of creating their immortal body. While in Limbo, their Souls are modified to better handle the stresses of immortality, but they are still ultimately mortal Souls. Twilight really did get vaporized and die before her ascension. One of the more painful ways for it to happen, but Lord Death was kind enough to wipe the memory from her before sending her on to the Astral Plane to meet Celestia.
As for what I define a Soul to be...
The Mind: The thing that processes the world around you. It is also responsible for the creation and recall of memories, but memories are not stored in the Mind.
The Heart: The birthplace of one's emotions and it grows with experience and contact with other Hearts. The Heart is responsible for channeling most forms of power safely through the Mind and Soul: Magic, Aura, Psychic, etc. The Heart is also responsible for the storage of memories, which is known informally in many Memory Witch circles as the Chain of Memories.
The Soul: Responsible for that unique spark that makes you who you are. It colors how you view your experiences and it identifies who you were before Creation. The Soul is arguably the most powerful and versatile of the three. It can grow Hearts from scratch, hold memories in an emergency and can manipulate power directly without input from Heart or Mind if sufficiently motivated. Unlike the Mind and Heart, Souls come in different forms, depending on who the Soul is going to. Most gods get specially crafted Souls as mentioned before. Most mortals get Souls that will eventually need to return to Heaven for "cleansing".
The duration of their stay in the mortal realm varies depending on the strength of the Heart and the Body, but in optimal conditions a mortal Soul could remain in the mortal realm for 10,000 years or so before serious damage is done. However, some species require special Souls, such as the Time Lords, to endure the unique stresses placed upon them. These special Souls are extremely varied in how long they can stay in the mortal realm. Some only can last 1,000 years. Others can last for trillions upon trillions of years.
One particular species is imbued with Souls that have a "Self Cleaning" function and could thus remain on the mortal plane theoretically until The Last Day. Of course, that particular species is also ruthlessly hunted for reasons of prestige and jealousy fueled hatred. They're also only native to a single dimension on a single world in all Creation which was bombed with a bio-weapon during the 2nd Great Time War. At last census their numbers barely broke 4 billion. But that's neither here nor there.

He has lost friends and comrades, mostly in the Warhammer 40K and Halo universes. He was friends with some Marines of the UNSC and had to watch as they were attacked and infected by the Flood. In the Warhammer universe, he was friends with one of the Elder Caftworlds when one of their planets was attacked by a Tyranid Hive Fleet. Enough of his friends died that he went Nightmare and destroyed every last part of the Hive Fleet as to wipe it all out. He cried his heart out when he was back to normal, the remaining Elder on the planet keep him company and watched over him until he was done crying and back to normal. That would tell you the length he would go to protect those he sees as friends and family.
I'm surprised she stabilized so quickly, what ever the doctors did must have worked well

So distilling this down for what we know (correct if inaccurate - I love the detail in the backstory you have here):
1. For the "original" Twilight Sparkle of this dimension she was working with a "modified for immortality mortal soul" placed into a reconstituted Alicorn Body.
2. The Body [Twilight] gets another mortal Soul and Heart of "Tom" downloaded into it across dimensions [actually can we exclude that she didn't just copy Tom's leaving the original untouched?].
3. Add in one magic overload and Tom Soul & Tom Heart fused with Twilight Soul and Twilight Heart to make Duskfall Soul and Duskfall Heart in Twilight Body [Alicorn version]. Query: does this significantly alter the "modified to immortal soul" to cause long-term problems or are the immortal changes more dominant? Does stuffing two souls worth of soul "stuff" together have other drawbacks (do souls have a "volume") it sounds like the Mind/Heart/Body combo are not a "vessel" for the soul so much as a tether (?) to the mortal realm, but one which allows manipulation via magic. Can souls be subdivided with "bits" pulled off?
4. So we know that moving a Soul & Heart (soul alone would lack memories from the Heart which I guess giving Soul recycling following Heavenly "cleansing" would be reincarnation) across dimensions is at least doable at normal Alicorn levels of magic per what happened to Tom.
5. We know that heavy duty rearrangements of the soul require "Lord Death" or multi-alicorn levels of magic.
6. We know that given the muti-verse there should be at least some extant "Goddess Level Twilight Sparkle" existing, ignoring other less powerful variants. But this does not exist as a god level multi-dimensional concept (see 1).
7. Tom & Twilight had gotten very close to Alicorn Body cloning levels per the previous story. 7b. Combining 4, 6&7 and lacking ethics could get really problematic.
8. Duskfall lacks the necessary one-off power to do more heavy duty soul modification at this point so is working on various ways of "Summon Bigger Fish".
9. As long as they are under some set level other-dimensional entities can pass through the Equestrian Barrier. This might mean pulling a Goddess level Twilight across dimensions into a cloned body violates this (7b) but still would allow "Tom" to have passed.
10. Given the multi-verse, time travel, and near-infinite possibilities they might be able to "ask" another Duskfall/Twilight etc... what actually worked to fix the situation. This violates the Doylian principle though as it interferes with the story.
11. (because this needs to go to 11) I can't wait to see where this story goes.
10342300
Duskfall inherited a remarkable amount of mental fortitude from Tom. I've always been of the opinion that Humans can triumph over any trauma and are among the most mentally flexible of species in all creation. It was just barely enough to contain a the incident without going full Nightmare.
10342308
I would definitely agree with the "mentally flexible" bit humans in general are pretty much improvise, adapt, overcome as a species. Definitely an edge to the pony way of thinking (we are also quite a bit nastier, but sometimes being too crazy to mess with is a strong survival trait). I like the play-in of the persistence hunter bit with regard to that (although I will admit to being a bit heavily pro-HFY).
10342305
1. Correct.
2. Tom was indeed pulled wholesale from his home dimension. His body would've come along too, but it was destroyed in the Void Between, which is why Tom and Twilight wound up sharing a body but their Souls became entangled. Tom's Heart and Soul were taking Emergency Action. In some cases, this would lead to one or the other Heart and Soul to be expelled from the body after a fight for dominance.
3. When Tom's mortal Soul merged with Twilight's modified Soul to create Duskfall's Soul, some attributes were lost but the overall "structural integrity" of Twilight's modified Soul remained. Duskfall even gained a few perks from the fusion that will come into play later.
4. Souls don't have volume but each Body is only rated to contain a certain amount of Spiritual Energy given off by Souls. For example, an Alicorn body could house three, maybe four mortal Souls before their body began to brake down. On the other hand, any species in existence that isn't specifically made for a "Self Cleaning" Soul will burn up quickly and painfully. Think when Melascula tried to eat Escanor's Soul if you know 7 Deadly Sins. There are, of course, ways around these limitations, but they are exceedingly difficult to put into practice.
5. While a Soul can be torn into pieces as Voldemort does with his Horcruxes, unless certain precautions are taken, the Soul will reform itself given enough time. Again using Horcruxes as an example, if Voldemort survived to be about 600 then his Soul would've snapped back together.
6. Reincarnation and "Cleaning" are handled by two different departments under Death's purview. Every Soul gets Cleaned before being reunited with their Heart and going on to the Here After. Some Souls are eligible for Reincarnation. When Reincarnated their Chain of Memories are placed in stasis for possible retrieval during that Soul's next life. Eligibility varies from dimension to dimension, but one almost universal rule is "If a Soul has not yet experienced 8 years of Life then they shall be eligible for Reincarnation". Of course, outside powers can forcibly stop Reincarnation or cause it, like what Queen Serenity did for the Sailor Moon crew. Under the rules of most of the Sailor Moon Dimensions, no one should've gotten Reincarnated. Those Dimensions tend to be a huge mess behind the scenes for many millennium.
7. Soul modification isn't that difficult, on the whole. There is a small kernel that is utterly resistant to change except by God himself, but everything else can be tweaked with varying degrees of difficulty. The reason why ascended gods have to go through Death first is because on top of the modifications, he also adds what amounts to a "Do Not Touch" sticker for any reapers that might be looking for a quick Soul grab to meet their quota. (Any reaper caught Soul grabbing is usually demoted to Spirit, if not Lesser Spirit flat out).
8. Your point 6 is correct. No Soul with the name Twilight Sparkle has been a made god / goddess. They have all either been ascended or in a few cases born. While Souls of the same Name share a connection of sorts, they are all still unique individuals, even if these differences are extremely minute. See Sci-Twi vs. Princess Twilight. Trying to reconstruct one Twilight's Soul using another Twilight's Soul as a blueprint would cause what amounts to a sympathetic feedback loop which would end with both Souls being ejected from the mortal plane...at bare minimum.
9. Cloning bodies isn't the most difficult thing in the Multiverse, even the body of gods. The real trick is getting the right Soul for that body. Mewtwo tried to clone a member of the species with "Self Cleaning" Souls during the New Island Incident. Firstly, his equipment should've spat out a puddle of genetic soup, but it somehow created a healthy specimen. Secondly a "Self Cleaning" Soul found its way into that body, even though Mewtwo had absolutely zero idea that he needed such a Soul. The lesson that was eventually learned? Lady Life plays some hardcore favorites.
10. At this point for Duskfall it's less a question of Soul Shaping and more a question of Soul Making. Duskfall doesn't know this, but that's pretty much the exclusive domain of Lady Life and God. The kernels of Tom and Twilight's Souls still exist, but there isn't enough to reconstruct each Soul fully. Even if Duskfall did find such a spell, which she won't, she would have to sacrifice her own Soul and get only one of the two back. She's either going to need to get Lady Life on the horn or an exceptionally talented Soul Weaver.
11. It would be theoretically possible for Duskfall to call upon an older version of herself, but doing such things is HEAVILY frowned upon in much the same way crossing your own personal time stream is in Doctor Who. There's also the reason that each Soul has their own trials and while they can call upon others to help them in their time of need, calling upon an interdimensional doppelganger is considered cheating and the Multiverse will find a way to balance itself. The Multiverse tends to get kinda petty when it has to balance itself for such reasons.
12. It's so nice to discuss some of the deep lore I've been using in all my stories since I was 10.
10342292
Alright, assume your character is playing by the rules I've set up in this fic and my blog posts. How much direct influence do Lady Fate and Lady Time have with Gargon? Does either one visit him? Did they tell him about his chosen duty or was he thrown in the deep end with no explanation? Do you consider Gargon a mortal or an ascended god? Is there anyone in particular you want to accompany him when he comes to this version of Equuis? (Please leave that to preexisting fictional characters. Juggling too many characters that aren't my own is an easy way to get myself in trouble)
Well, if she's talking about Weeping Angels & beings that function similarly to them, you can't forget about SCP-173, and since we're on the topic of horrors from "fiction" why not include the rest of the SCP gang?
But that makes me wonder, with how there are so many situations out there, either between two "fictional" worlds, or even inside of just one, how are all the "Spear that pierces all shields vs. Shield that blocks all spears" problems & other issues of priority between "playground schoolchildren" handled?
Like an SCP has anomalous properties that allow it to break any obstacle to get at Its target, then a god character who can do anything tries to make the obstacle that the SCP breaking down invulnerable.
10342440
About that, Gargon had never meet with either of them, most likely because he is the tenth inline out of ten to have this duty. The first three watchers (Xel'Nega, Old Ones, and Forerunner) were the ones who would have meet the two of them. The watchers after the first three were thrown into the deep end on what they can and can't do. Though the souls of each past watcher, after they die or disappear into a void of some kind, become one with the spacial armor they wear. The current watcher can talk to the souls of past watchers for advice, souls of past watchers can also form ghostly versions of themselves to help the current watcher if they wanted to. I consider Gargon a mortal. I am not sure which preexisting person from one of the many universes he has gone to would come with Gargon when his visits this version of Equestria.
Dang, you guys are digging deep into the lore of this story. I like it
10342517
The immovable object vs. the unstoppable force quandary has several systems dedicated to resolving them. Most of the time it's simply handled by introducing a 3rd powerful force to break the stalemate. Sometimes, in desperate cases, the fundamental "code" of reality is rewritten around the immovable object and unstoppable force. This can result in their basic nature changing to no longer be immovable or unstoppable or deleting them from existence all together. There are even a few instances where the immovable object and unstoppable force are required for the continued functioning of reality, as the clash can produce untold energy of multiple different types ranging from Chaos energy to Q squared energy.
But the easiest catch all for the lazy programmer is to simply code large swaths of the program to refuse to deal in absolutes. Or if that lazy programmer is feeling daring, programming in exceptions into the immovable object or unstoppable force. "This object is immovable unless Alpha Centauri A produces 36 solar flares in a five minute period on the second Tuesday of January".
10342527
Oh, he is absolutely not going to be happy to hear there are Souls trapped in the armor. Who made the armor? If it was made directly by Lady Fate or Lady Time or on their behalf, sparks are really gonna fly. Such things are generally an affront to Death and Death will not hesitate to authorize him to take down whoever made the thing hard and with whatever force he deems necessary.
Having a mortal who hasn't been recruited as a Lieutenant take on a responsibility like Gargon has been forced to take on would be seen by many of the other Concepts as dereliction of duty unless he has an extensive support system in place. Going on what you've said, there's no such system. This would also be a second black mark on Fate's record because of the stunt she pulled when Death's Lieutenant was still just a baby.
Looks like Death's Lieutenant and at the very least Duskfall are gonna Love and Tolerate the Shit outta Time and Fate.
10342561
Replace FNAF lore with 'Lore of my own Fanfictions'
i.imgflip.com/3ky24g.jpg
And the name of that title reminds me of a meme, a very fine meme
10342585
The Watcher armor was made by the Ancient Council by the three founding races, Forerunner, Xel'Nega, and Old Ones. The Ancient Council wouldn't have been formed if small groups of each race were not guided to the same place, Gargon's Earth. So I guess Lady Fate could be behind the whole thing. The Council's first three watchers had the same armor made with the technology of each founding race, while the following watchers updated the armor with technology from each race added to the Council. There are at least 30 races that are a part of the Council.
10342723
Nah, at that point the armor would be considered a mortal invention unless Fate directly appeared in their dreams and told them to make it exactly how they did. So still in trouble for dumping the job off on Gargon and the previous Watchers, but not in nearly as much trouble as she could've been.
Death's Lieutenant will probably just send a strongly worded message to the Council and modify the armor to become a conduit for the Souls of the previous Watchers as opposed to a receptacle. Think more Resurrection Stone from Harry Potter as opposed to Poltergust 3000 from Luigi's Mansion. There's a difference between creating something taboo in ignorance and doing so on purpose.
I'm sure the LoZ crew will appreciate the changes to the armor. Death's Lieutenant has forged a Master Sword or two in his time and will certainly be catching up with Link when he appears in Flutter Brutter. Although he might lose points because he learned how to Smith from Totosai... I know since Demise the First Demon those from that realm are a bit touchy about Demons of any kind.
10342864
The armor thing could be an interesting side plot.
*gasp!* finally! Someone else mentions Nanoha! Quick, *points to Duskfall* Get that mare an Intelligent Device!
Mares love Intelligent Devices!.. or at least get the Mare a Cannon.. no.. not a cannon...
Give her some self-defence classes? Maybe Bonny and Lyra?
10343041
Intelligence Devices are fing sexy. Will Duskfall get her hooves on one? Not sure. But she will get a number of new toys after the Winter Solstice. I just haven't decided what toys. I foresee Equuis become the heart of a grand Friendship Empire known the Multiverse over!
As for self defense courses, Duskfall is gonna have Rainbow teach her some martial arts. You know, like Mare-ate I'll see myself out.
10342990
Oh, lemme pull up a seat, this is gonna be guud.
memesmonkey.com/images/memesmonkey/11/11d0d80ce70b32b6b07fd819c9b4e11d.jpeg
Dusk busting out anime refs must be something she inherited from Tom. I guess it’s plausible for Harmonia’s predecessor to have taken a page from Nanoha.
10343101
No! *baps Traveler with a news paper*
1: Bad Pun! Booooo!
2: Karate is an overdone trope! Teach her something like.... *sets up a dart board with martial arts styles on it* (yes I actually did this.) The Darts picked Brazilian jiu-jitsu
3: question, wouldn't there be Tribe specific styles?
A suggestion if I may? Perhaps Dusk could learn a bit of a few styles, then mix it with some Human forms, that and fighting dirty.. like Pocket-Sandtm
10343139
Aye, Tom wasn't the weeb of his friend group, but he was always willing to read/watch his friend's recommendations between reading plays and history books. His friends were an opinionated lot, so lots of recommendations were had.
As for why the Elements blast in the way they do instead of just infusing the target with Harmony Magic... long story short, Magic lost a bet with Laughter.
10343198
1. I REGRET NO PUN!
2. Pegasai and Earth Ponies certainly have their own styles to match their respective strengths, but Unicorns are lazy bastards who relied on Magic, so they don't have anything other than a few one off practitioners of adaptations of Earth Pony styles.
3. How much am I willing to meme? Am I willing to meme enough to have Duskfall eventually learn the Saotome School of Anything Goes??? After all, Fluttershy proves in Scare Master that Ranma 1/2 is a thing on Equuis. Of course, if she does learn it, it'll be directly from the source *wink wink nudge nudge*
4. Do you really think Tom, the theater nerd, would know much of anything about real martial arts? His Mom would do Tai Chi and that was about the extent of his knowledge. I studied Karate and Judo when I was younger but I never got past a blue belt in either discipline. If Duskfall learns any human styles, it won't be until after the Winter Solstice.
Call her Harmony Sparkle that’s what I call the spirit of the tree of harmony.
Dam right it isn’t!!
10353999
If you think Duskfall has any intention of letting Harmonia into her family, you got another thing coming. Waaaaaay too much baggage there.
Who?
10380044
N of Team Plasma, the evil organization of the 5th gen Pokemon games. His full name is Natural Harmonia Gropius.
