And lo, there was a crystal plague of crystal eating crystal locusts that did devour the Tree.
Like most of us have said, we enjoy it when chapters get away from you. They flow well and I for one like the world building

I dunno. I think you need to get your eyes checked. Just looks like a flock of dragons to me.

Everyone's happier when I listen to my characters as opposed to when I try and make them do what I want. Even if listening involves Discord rambling on in Tongues that would drive most men mad. Oh wait, I already am mad~

Definitely listen to your characters, especially Discord

Or maybe they're all Changelings in disguise?
Also by not exploiting, manipulating, or abusing him - Rarity.
Not becoming demanding, possessive, violent, controlling, or aggressive helps too.

Duskfall's flanks are currently completely blank. Nothing but expanses of mulberry fur on those flanks. Duskfall will eventually get her own Cutie Mark, but it won't be for a long time coming. Maybe not until Book 3. She's kinda stuck in her own head too much for moments of self-discover/enlightenment at the moment.

Yeah, as I read further in this chapter, her lack of a design became rather explicitly-stated.
My bad.

Not at all. Better to clear up an imagined misunderstanding than to carry on in a real one.
this incidentally is the main issue with powerful immortals, lacking a proper form to interact with others only makes it happen faster but its inevitable that they eventually end up either not caring about much beyond their perceived role, the tree, or they end up deciding to do whatever the hell they feel like cause no one can stop them and its not like they have anything else to do, discord. other options exist but they tend to be transitory states rather than anything long term, its one of the interesting aspects of dealing with deities and immortals.

You are quite right. Fortunately there are a number of do-gooders that cycle around the Multiverse keeping this problem from going completely out of hand. There's even one who's basically spent his entire adult life studying the psychology of immortals and offering his services as a Therapist. The funniest thing is that he's the son of Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox. His interest basically started when his father told him stories of Clockwerk. Why yes, he does carry on the tradition of his ancestors on the side, how did you guess?
No one except him really knows how he wound up as part of the Multiversal community, but he's been an invaluable part of it.
This sounds very much like Hari Seldon and his science of "psychohistory". Did you draw on Asimov for inspiration?

I've actually never read any of Asimov's works. This is merely my own imaginings on how temporal progression might get along in the context of their being higher order beings responsible for keeping every aspect of reality functioning smoothly, including Time, Fate, and Destiny. If God can see all of history happening at once and there are infinite Multiverses, then it only stands to reason that there are discernable patterns in the work of one's own Universe, if one knows how to look. Leaning on Quantum Physics a bit, but If it is observed, its nature changes, which is one of the reasons why predicting the future is never foolproof. There are simply beings more able to compensate for those changes in nature brought about by observation.
I'm told that if you're getting a headache thinking about Time and/or time travel, you're doing it right.
Any similarities to psychohistory is purely coincidental.

How you notice these teeny tiny things continues to astound and amaze.
10354076
Noticing tiny things is easy when you are not the author and read at a reasonable pace. Guess I don't need to tell what being an author of the sentence does to ability to actually read it. The will to mention them for the author to fix is admirable, though. I personally like to do so as well, but in some cases there's just too many to actually care. I'm not talking about your books here, but I've seen quite a few horrors here on this site even among very long stories with good ratings. And that is coming from someone for whom English is not the mother tongue. Actually, that forces me to pay attention to the small details.
Especially... I would say this, It's especially true for Sayians.
Hah! Imagine how Harmonia would react if she saw Persona 5 Joker who and I might quote "Break the Chains of Fate with Wings of Rebellion"
