"...what did I just even read." - Wintermist || "Pour la beauté du geste" || ooo || π

Twilight has had nightmares in the past. It's not something she isn't familiar with, and she's even done quite a bit of research on the topic. And she knows better than almost anypony else what a nightmare can and can't be, and how it can or can't hurt her. Still, sometimes, some dreams do feel different. The cold feels just a little more real on her skin than usual, the images a little more vivid. But it's just a dream, right?

Thank you for the entry. I look forward to reading.

I'm very confused with what's going on here. Maybe a bit of an explanation?

Okay, you're definitely pushing the word limit there. Nicely done. :trixieshiftright:

A lot that's unclear: is that future Twilight? It doesn't say if it has a horn or not. And did it...rerun Twilight's life over and over, starting one day further ahead each time, [1] with each new iteration forgetting the one before, and failing, in turn, to prevent whatever from happening? I mean, if the earlier iterations (before End-Twilight gave up hope) would have known when it was coming, so I can't see why if nothing else works, she couldn't just evacuate Equestria...unless it's actually the whole multiverse that dies!

[1] You don't know how many times, Twilight. Every hour here, a different lifetime on your end.

Take my upvote.

if it had been a vision as those Celeatia and Luna once had.

You meant Celestia here, right?

I don't understand...

It was like a desert on a negative. Cold, but just as dry.

I heard Antarctica is technically a desert because the snow blowing around is not precipitation; it's just loose snow. I'm saying this in case it helps anyone better visualize the Cold (minus the snow), lol.

Anyway, so far I like the use of imagery you put forth in this.

Hm... I'm not quite sure what is all going on...
Every break separate by lines, was that a different "timeline" for Twilight? Different time the thing in the cold sent her back? The thing that was there, was it Celestia, or had future Twilight turned white? Did that weird spell that put the shapes together cause it, or was it just a sign they were at the point of no return?
It was a good read, but with no way to know what happened or who that thing was, I'm left feeling frustrated like Twilight rather than scared.

Ah yes. I understand what this is.... A stable time loop...
