Well. This story is rife with grammatical errors, each chapter is rather short, and each one has a strange mix of comedy and depression. So in conclusion... I love it. More please.
This is actually a really interesting concept. Dragon growth is based upon greed, and the type of dragon a drake matures into is predicated upon the type of greed that they feel. Spike wants to be 'worthy' of Rarity... but it's more than just that, he wants, no, he needs to grow up. And he's fully convinced himself that this is the best way to do that. Rarity is selfish and a little heartless to Spike in this, but that's not exactly OOC for her, if anything, the fight with her (along with finding the book) was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
I feel terrible for Rainbow Dash, the way she hurt herself to prove she was a mare, but in a twisted sort of way I'm glad it was Spike that did it. Somebody else could have hurt her a lot more, and they probably wouldn't have taken care of her afterwards. I can only hope that one bad experience doesn't put her off of physical intimacy altogether. This also makes me afraid for Scootaloo, because she could wind up hurting herself even worse attempting to emulate her idol. What Spike needs is a mare with a good deal of sexual experience to show him the ropes.
I enjoy Spike's struggle, as he wrestles with his own morals against the type of dragon he wants to become. He's taken to this even more strongly than normal greed growth, he recognizes that the seed of it has always been within him, and that scares him more than anything. He hates that he has to lie to people (and in the case of ponies like poor Rainbow Dash, potentially even hurt them), he doesn't want the strain this puts on his relationships with other ponies, but he doesn't see any other way to help himself.
In short this is a good idea with a lot of potential and an odd amount of depth considering it's lewd premise, I look forward to seeing more.
