Because no one really bothers to remember her full name and she is fine with being Luna, Princess of the night and dreams. Then again, I have only seen that name used once before. Any way, why does he immediately know when and where he is upon changing worlds?

Also your recommendation I actually like more than others I've seen. Also with the part of him knowing, he did know who the merchant was, so he'd be more perceptive to the environment, but I see where I went wrong, expect an edit in the future.

Why not a long sword of some type? Considering his magic usage so far, only the Nodachi or Odachi would be poor choices, and they are absurdly long katanas that are closer to the claymore in scale. Maybe an elven hand and a half sword? Or a European long sword. Or a cheongsam if you want a Chinese style. Or maybe a rapier? A rapier would fit more with his movie personality, one thin edge, incredibly sharp tip, basket hilt and one handed skill is required. Though, the message makes me think it's more likely a more traditional sword.

Yes, while in the movie that would be so, that wouldn't really fit a guy wearing heavy armor. I'd see a noble using a rapier, but cobalion in his current form is from Japony where all Kirin's come from (as he is a Kirin in this form)
6608956 I figured I was wrong about that, but for whatever reason, I can't remember the Chinese long sword with the tassels and the double edged blade. Also, then I would say Cobalion should be hauling around a European long sword, where as his current form should probably have both a katana and wakizashi. The second one made of a magic reactive metal, of course. Also, I probably have the z and k backwards...

I see your point. Dual wielding a Katana and a wakizashi would be trippy as flip, a katana is longer than a wakizashi. So a long sword and a short sword pretty much.
6609054 It is also a similar weight to a European long sword, while actually allowing more options in defense and offense. Plus, you can more easily make it look bad ass than a single long sword.

...actually, "Doragon So" would be "Dragon Soul" as SAID in Japanese. "Dragon" is 竜 (pronounced "ryū), and "soul" could be any of 霊 ("rei"), 魂 ("tamashī"). 魂魄 ("konpaku"), 精 ("sei") or 霊魂 ("reikon"), depending on actual meaning (or even something else entirely). For future reference, if a translated word is written in katakana (カタカナ) and not either hiragana (ひらがな) or kanji (漢字), it is most likely the translate program derping or a foreign loanword.
A good "name" to mean "Dragon Soul" would be 竜精 ("ryusei"), and given that I am no expert, that may not even be entirely correct (and google translate sees it as "ryutadashi" for some reason).
