3: Well yes, yes they are, it may seem a bit odd but considering all the shit that is going on right now, tensions are a bit high in both A'shalla and Riverside, there's looting going on, and soon to be a massive riot maybe. So shit is going down. Perhaps unrealistic, but eh, I don't exactly care.

Well, first is that huge unicorn guard going all melee and shit against the assassin, instead of using combat magic. However, I can understand that, because maybe he is not talented in magic and is more suitable for melee combat. But Mr Sorrow is another thing. I don't expect a criminal knowing how to do shields or teletransport or laser beams or advanced magic like we see Twiligth do. However, in the show, every unicorn can do basic telekinesis.
Now, he is a unicorn against two Earth ponies and he knows they are going to kill him. So why instead of using his magic to throw them aside, or launch something to them or anything, he decides to grab Octavia, and then, after being throwed against the bookshelf, he charges like a madpony when is very clear that they are going to kick his ass in hoof to hoof combat? Holy shit, it seems like he is an idiot who wants to die.
