Discord has heard Celestia sigh (which is funny). He's heard her growl (which is funnier). On a good day, he can even make her shout (which is hilarious).
But he's never heard her laugh. Until now.
Set during/directly after the events of "Make New Friends but Keep Discord", Discord sees a side of Celestia he never thought existed -- and has no idea what to make of it. The resulting discussion with Twilight and Fluttershy only annoys him further, as his frustrations with Pony society come to the fore.

I almost didn't read this because of the Romance tag: it's annoying (because shipping stories are boring) and misleading (because there's no romance). Please get rid of it.
It was a great read otherwise, highlighting Discord's "blue and orange" morality and how it deverges from the ponies'.

While I am actually a fan of Dislestia and in fact almost any Discord ship, the other posters are right. Since this is a complete story, the romance tag doesn't belong; this is about Discord's revelation that Celestia might enjoy his company as a friend, and doesn't go as far as even considering romance yet. If it was a multi-chapter story, I could certainly see how you were setting up for a romance, but because it ends and there's no romance yet, the tag is misleading and should be removed. The story itself is awesome, though. (I particularly liked Discord's replacing the records with the Griffon equivalent of IKEA furniture instructions and Twilight's outrage.)
A little rough around the edges, felt it could use a little expanding and fleshing out, or perhaps a little too straight to the point for my tastes, but like the concept, and pretty nicely done.
I was promised shipping. I had to double check at the end to see if this was incomplete, but it isn't. You lied to me!
