This story is a sequel to The Ballad of Time Turner and Rainbow Dash: Are a Drag

It's been a while since Rainbow Dash and Time Turner started dating.

Now the two face a brand new challenge:
Getting married.

For the first part, go Here

Chapters (6)
Comments ( 30 )

And here we are.

lots of deliberate call-backs, nods towards other works and more.

Let the wedding commence. This is going to be great. Thanks for writing another story. Good luck with the next chapter.

Two things:
1.You should probably mark this as a sequel to your other TurnerDash stories.
2. The downvotes confuse me.

Eh, I don't let the downvotes bother me.
Probably just angry shippers and the like.

When it comes down to it, no one is really going to say "No" to a wedding.
At least in fiction.

Scootaloo, and by extension, Dinky, sweetie, Babs and Applebloom are about 15-16 ish at this point, explaining why they can't be flower fillies again.

Yay! Update!

but I have to read this later... DAMN!!:fluttercry:

you'll see me in three hours!

Heh, nice chapter. I wonder if Rarity felt slightly offended when she learned that Rainbow hadn't even considered her as a Bridesmaid.

“I’ll her know. Bye.”

Missing something here.

So true six months pass so quickly. Great job. Good luck with the next chapter. Thanks for this continuation.

Twilight is worried about a relationship that has been going on for 5 years? :facehoof:

If it were 5 months, i'd see where she's trying to come from but 5 years? She's just being a worryful worrywart of worry.

Also, I told you i'd be back in three hours!

I figured she wouldn't mind.
Rarity and Dash's relationship isn't as close as Dash's relationships with Applejack, Pinkie or Fluttershy's.

Yes, the entire reason I wrote this trilogy was to make an elaborate Joke involving G3.
Everyone go home, Fic's over.

...
Anyway...

Slipstream continued the Transformers theme for Dash's family.
Slipstream is named after her Animated counterpart.
She sounds more like Sumalee Montano, AKA Transformers: Prime's Arcee and Beware The Batman's Katana.
Her husband is named after G1 Sandstorm, while her kids are named after Windblade and Moonracer.
Moonracer was almost named Sandstorm, then Nightracer, then Arcee, then Drag Strip, and finally Moonracer.

Slipstream's father is Smokescreen, the earlier mentioned brother of Bluestreak.

Great-Aunt Rainbow Dash, AKA G3 Rainbow Dash, was hinted at multiple times.
Her fashion name of Venus is a deliberate reference to her VA...Venus Terzo, AKA Transformers Beast Wars/Beast Machines Blackarachnia, and Female Ranma Saotome.

You really love Transformers :derpytongue2:

But then again, so do I :pinkiehappy:

Nice chapter. I loved how the wedding has worn down the bride and groom. Also nice twist at the end. It was funny to see Rarity's head spin when she found out Rainbow was related to a supermodel.

Almost there.

This was actually one of the earliest chapters that I had come up with for the story, and it remained mostly unchanged during the planning process.

Turner's Bachelor Party was just going to have Soarin, Mac, Joe, and Thunderlane, but Caramel was added later, after I remembered mentioning him back in Help Yourself as Fluttershy's coltfriend.

The earlier version of Dash's Bachelorette party included Twilight, but I eventually decided to leave her out.
This is sort of based on my own experience when I went to Japan after graduating High School, and was now "officially" able to do things like buy porn and go to strip clubs and stuff.
Buying Hentai was abit of a let down, and we never bothered going to any maid cafes or things like that because we figured "What's the point?".
So after spending much of my Intermediate and High school life looking forward to it, It turned out to be a big letdown.

The chapter went through a couple of naming issues.
First it was going to be a reference to Electric Six's Gay Bar, then Maroon 5's Moves like Jagger (thanks Magic Mike), and finally LMFAO's Sexy and I know It.
Which was really the first three songs that crossed my mind on the topic of "Dash and friends go to a strip club."

Tonic's full name is Gin N' Tonic, which was one of my proposed R63'd names for Berry Punch for a different, abandoned, fic.

Hagmare's blood is a counterpart to the cocktail Hangman's Blood.
This version is based on Anthony Burgess' rendition...
Which unintentionally makes Tonic's grandfather a ponified version of Burgess.

A Flip is a traditional early Colonial American drink. It's beer mixed with Whiskey, Sugar, Hot Water, an egg and stirred with a red hot fire poker to give it the burnt flavor it's known for.
An unusual drink choice, but the idea is that it's sort of a comfort drink.

Anyway, two more chapters.

Wait...only two more chapters!!??

There better be a sequel about kids!

Really great, can't wait to see the next chapter ^ ^
a bar like this is really dash's style.

Dashie, you are in just a bit over your head, methinks. :p

dashie just say yes... lol

Oh, poor Dashie. Should've seen this sudden attack of the nerves coming after her near-breakdown at the Best Young Fliers Competition. :pinkiecrazy:

Hopefully Turner can talk her out of her nervousness. And then probably turn to mush when he sees her in her dress. :raritywink:

Such a lovely end to a nice story.

And we're done.

This, and the chapter before it, remained mostly the same through the writing process.

Tempest Fugit was originally conceived as Turner's younger brother for the Discordverse, and was based on the Pegasus recolor we saw in Sonic Rainboom.

Obviously, I never got that far, but used the idea. His name is an obvious play on Tempus Fugit.

Drunk Firefly was based on one of those #weddingfail tweets.

And finally, Thunderball was always going to show up.
You don't write 6 stories worth of Tom Jones references and not do that, after all.

And Dashie gets stage fright. Natch. :D

A very nice end. Loved the Princess Bride reference, too. :D
