I've tended to think of Discord's character arc as one of maturing and growing up. This works with that.

This was very nice. Not only was it a nice exchange between my two favorite characters, I feel that Discord was especially spot-on.

Aw~ Thank you for a sweet read. Discord truly has come a long way, and the characterizations were pretty good. I especially liked the mention of Twilight being the first pony he tried to ask after learning about Fluttershy would take Tree Hugger. It makes me curious to see how Discord would interact with Twilight when he's not so jealous (although you've given us a clue).

One suggestion for improvement, though: You have the tendency to punctuate speech attributions as if they were non-speaking actions. For instance:

"Why, you, of course." Discord declared."
would be
"Why, you, of course," Discord declared."

But typos like that are really easy to fix, and this looks great. ;3

Very nice! Love how you kept Discord his usual cocky self, but also showed he has more of a good side to him.

It's a part of my headcanon that Twilight is Discord's closest friend after Fluttershy. Also I love that Discord of all creatures is weirded out by Pinkie Pie.
