aheh... I might check that out sometime. It's not that Brass Eye paedophilia special?
6730933
Glad you enjoy it!
6731197
Magic is pretty awesome, it's true.
6731322
I hope so too. Be some time before that gets a chance to be resolved...
6731615
Don't worry! She'll be fine maybe!
6736810
Well now I'm sad. Didn't even see this comment before I got cut off last uh... November...
6774979
A mental health issue disguised as a gun issue, I love that. That is solid gold right there.
6816605
I plan to continue it at least to the point that Sweetie Belle finishes up her summer break in a month or two, or the heat death of the universe (whichever comes first). I have up to chapter 30 written. As slow as I write, I'm even slower to post when I can't figure out how to get to this site safely. I'll try to do once a month at least... best laid plans, I know.

I'm honestly not all that familiar with hymens. I think in a lot of people, they're just not very... apparant at all. There's a blurry line between hymen and just, inner vulva, and I think a lot of what people see as hymen um, breaking, is just acclimatizing one's organs into having sex, in general. A few people have imperforate hymens, but that's some kind of medical emergency and very rare. I never noticed anything like that, myself.
And I'm certainly not experienced with breeding real horses. Intact stallions are scary...
So, are you posting here again, or do I still gotta visit your tor site? Cause, I hate the formatting of that, and kinda... stopped visiting there.
When the narrator eventually outs himself to Rarity and her friends, I don't think they'll even believe anymore that he's not Sweetie Belle. Rarity will have shared so much with him, that for her he really is SB.
Most likely she'll just insist to Twilight that this is SB having some sort of mental breakdown, a delayed effect of her magical accident at the ruins.
Seriously, not that hard to figure out quadrupedal locomotion.
Great chapter; glad to see the story is still alive!
I'll try and see about seeing this other site you've posted it on, but it's always nice to have it all here, if you have the time. Convienece is king and all.
Nice to see this update again. It's got some different stuff going.
Favorite line still remains "You don't remember pooping?!"
7003937 I figure Sweetie's body ACTUALLY has neurologic damage messing up her walking just like her messed up horn. Meaning that swap sweetie has to both learn to walk as a pony and fight her fried brain at the same time, hence all the trouble.
:P Smelly Bell
7003937
You've been a horse before?
You can't honestly state that without having actually experienced it.
Note that this is also MAGICAL quadrupedal locomotion. The hooves are too slippery to walk normally, so (s)he has to learn how to activate and deactivate the hoof magic stuff. A thing that I don't think anyone has ever used before, so I don't think you would be able to learn that sort of concept instantaneously. Just because you think you can overcome any obstacle doesn't mean you can.
I can't wait for the next dream segment, it's the main thing I remember from this story to be honest.
Dont you think that you are exaggerating a bit with the walking problem, and also a little whit the level of horny that she get whit any stallion? , what is she a nympo now?
i mean its been 20 chapters now whit the same issue, If the plot of the history could advance or get more characters interactions could be nice.
-dont take it the wrong way, just feel like im watching the fillers of bleach , a good start then only filler .
Things that I want to see happen in this story.
1. Sweetie Belle/Human getting caught masturbating.
2. Figuring out if Sweetie Belle can be heard speaking by others.
3. Not another chapter where Sweetie Belle is being taught to walk. I understand that he needs to be able to walk but three chapters in a row is enough for me lol.
4. I want to see him try to read some more, He knows little to nothing of the world and reading is extremely important, he has very little knowledge of it as of the moment. And I think Rarity has perhaps cought on to this, which could make for an interesting topic for another chapter.
First of, im glad that this story actualy continues, but the walking issue is realy getting overused. Luckily it seems that it wont last for more than 5 chapters.
7002747
>doesn't like my beautiful formatting I spent a whole ten minutes designing
I'll try to post here.
7003049
I don't know. I'm just not a good enough author to pull that off convincingly. Also, because I sort of already wrote um... a pretty good buffer of chapters... that may have covered that already...
7003937
The walking is really annoying to me too, but don't worry. I'm planning on have her regain her full coordination, in an incredibly short recovery period of 2 weeks or so. Why, at that rate, you could see her running around like an adorable little filly as soon as chapter 40!
7004120
It's nice when I can get it on here. Those other ways are easier for me, since I sort of want to have some privacy in what I publish. Whether they're harder for you or not, it's just easy for me to just set them up and make them available, instead of working to deal with the difficulty I have getting this site to load some days/weeks/months.
7004580
It's all downhill after that line, I guess!
7005126
It's a poor fit, is the thing. Imagine if you had to walk around like a pony, except your right leg and left arm are mentally switched around, and your rear right leg moves when you try to wiggle your left pinkie finger. That's the sort of thing that happens when you try to use someone else's neurons, in this story at least. Not damage, just... a lot harder to learn than just applying your existing muscle memory.
It's been like 8 days, give her a break!
7006266
Sweetie Smelle?
7006276
I think the problem is it feels like it's making the story drag on, not that it makes more rational sense to have it one way or another. Not sure how much I can avoid that, though. At my writing speed, People are just going to have to get used to watching Not Sweetie Belle recover, in bullet time.
7006884
I dread the next dream segment. I always do...
7009093
So sad that we have to hide that stuff, just to perpetuate the lie...
7009859
If you think that's a nymphomaniac, I'd hate to think what you thought of a real nymphomaniac...
Not really that kind of story. Plot and history are sidelines to the experience and sensations. I'm going to go take a walk out in the rain, not to get anywhere, but just to feel the water rolling off of my umbrella. That's what this story is about. I do have some ideas for plot and history, but it's the experience that I'm trying to capture, of just being Sweetie Belle.
See, fillers of Bleach were bad, because they were trying to make you think they were going somewhere with it, the whole time. This story is more like... Azumanga Daioh, with ponies.
7011800
I'll try to minimize the walking instruction, and/or throw in a giant robot fight in the middle to spice things up.
It's the hardest thing in the world to try to describe what it feels like to learn to walk, without wasting a lot of time explaining exactly what foot goes where.
As for your other points... heh heh.
7014931
Probably not, but after that there's a trotting issue, then a gallopping issue, and finally a cantering issue. The world probably isn't ready for her to try to learn how to dance.
Edit
7016786
7006276
Hey, we "walk" on all fours before we walk on 2 legs. Though the human body is not designed for quadrupedal locomotion, it is not hard to figure out. I can do it fairly easily. I rough house with my kids, so yeah... Just saying, once you have standing down pat, as the character obviously does, figuring out the walking patterns is not that difficult. You can feel the balance it requires.
7009093
Uhh... what? I have know idea what you are trying to say.
7016786
Huh, i think this sounds better and sweet. :)
7016786 Well, you are right of course, she wont dance yet.
But this is a dillema somehow. If you rush her walking/cantering/dancing development, it will be rushed.
If you do it in too much detail, it will feel ... too stretched and boring.
*schrugs*
But , now that Sweety walks(walks in the wide sence of the word), she can start having somewhat normal interactions with ponies, and maybe progress the story.
Well, overall i like this story fairly much, enough to bother comment on it^^ Keep going
7017071
True, but you are on hands and knees. Imagine having another joint between you knee and your ass (can't think of the term for that. Is it thighs?)
7017071
Yes it entirely makes sense that someone transformed into a pony would quickly be able to walk. It also makes sense that they wouldn't.
(And I think he's referring to the "maturity" of figuring out how to orgasm.)
7017646
Oh, that's a good one! Really cracks me up.
7018590
6652984
No, I highly doubt a person would quickly learn to walk. They would first have to figure out how to stand. But once you have the standing down, as the main character obviously does, as long as you have the muscle control, which the character has demonstrated, and the muscle tone, which Sweety Belle has, it shouldn't take more than a day to figure out the walking. Stairs are another matter, but a straight line on flat ground shouldn't be so exhausting or difficult over short distances.
7018590 The point that Wildlander is making is the fact that the pattern of walking on four limbs is no different than we used as pre-toddlers. Yes, there's the fact that horses are going to walk on the nails of their middle fingers and middle toes--THAT in and of itself is NOT a valid excuse for far too many writers to use the "OMGBigDumbBipedalGorillaTaillessMonkeyApeSeriouslyWayTooF'ingMoronicToWalkAboutOnFourStupidLegs!®©™" trope ad-nauseam. (Really! That trope IS registered copyrighted and trademarked! People should stop using it before the trope's owners come to shut us all down!) The additional joints really wouldn't make that much difference, primarily for the fact that the leg lengths and the strength of the ponies' finger and toe joints would be enough for normal walking.
In a realistic transmorphing of a human into an MLP equine, they should be at least able to get up and start walking in no less than a second or third try, once they realize they can't stand on their hind legs. True, they're not going to be able to participate in the Running Of The Leaves right off the bat, and it may feel awkward to walk about with one's naked butt flying in the breeze. However, they'd damned well at least should be able to walk about long enough to give them some buffer time before Pinkie Pie pulls yet another Kzinti Scream-And-Leap attack on them!
The only saving grace this author has at least going for him is the idea of an "active magic" in their hooves in order to properly walk that the Human-Possessing-SB has to learn to use. Even so, it is taking excessively long to get to where s/he can even begin to get about on her/his own.
All hail the princess of bedsprings and pocket lint!!
mmm, it felt satisfying to walk.
Bi sweetie wants some major cuddles.
7025003
She just has to come to accept that, deep down inside, she is a cuddlesexual.
7019116
You're free to disagree with me if you like. Your word is as good as mine, as to what it would really be like.
7020221
This. This is what is not the case. You're assuming she is using the same four limbs that a bipedal human, or an earth horse would already have practiced with. While the visual and mechanical parallels are strong, what happened inside Sweetie Belle's mind didn't quite line up. Not even she realizes it, but her legs don't quite feel like legs, is what I'm trying to convey. And frankly, I don't think people would be complaining as much if someone getting a new ordinary human body by way of superscience brain surgery took a week or more to recover their coordination.
The real problem is I can't write fast enough to make it seem realistic. I just love putting in so many details, and every little aspect of these ponies' lives is amazing to me, and it just... doesn't have things happening very quickly. I could time skip, but that's one of the core points of the story, is that she can't time skip. I want to express just how she feels, trapped in a world without convenient scene transitions.
Okay, I would like you to help me out here. Go make a list with two columns. In one column you put all the pony transformation stories, where the character could immediately walk around like it was nothing. In the other column, you put all the stories where they had trouble learning how to walk. A trope is something that is used often, not something that is used rarely, or almost completely unheard-of.
Annoying, yes. Woobie pandering, maybe. Weird and uncomfortable, certainly. I really was just tired of all those stories that brushed off learning to use the new body, just because it is very hard to write a character who has difficulty getting around. Because that is all I could ever find. So I need your help, to find all these stories of slow adaption and body confusion, so that I can rewrite this story as one of the rare ones, where she can scamper about like a bunny in a day of practicing at it. And also because I like those stories, and have a hard time finding them, if what you say is true.
7018590
Horses have one less joint in each of their limbs than humans. Horses have very long "feet" on their hindlegs, and the heel is what looks like an extra joint, but actually it's not a joint at all. Horses cannot bend at their heels, only their knees, hips and toe. The shoulders of horse forelegs are also fixed and immovable in their chest, giving them only three joints: the elbow, the wrist and the finger. They have less joints, because more of their limbs are devoted to structural integrity, rather than freedom of motion. That's also why they have less toes.
MLPs can "unfix" the shoulders on their upper legs, to have 4 joints like a human (shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger), but with their heel and knee almost merged into 1 joint, MLPs only ever have 3 joints in their hind legs, compared to a human's 4: (hip, knee, heel, toe). That actually seems to trouble the animators at times, like when they have to draw a pony sitting like a human.
I can't help but cringe. It's just so awkward!
I also can't help but wonder why it's taking so long for her to walk. Sure, she'd walk horribly, but the fact that she's still getting tripped up with the order to move her hooves kind of makes me worry, because the only reason walking is so hard for humans is because of balance and muscle issues as infants, because babies do not develop all the way before being popped out.
Well, that happened. You are very skilled at writing cringe. It's not an insult, it's just an observation.
Oh boy, this'll be fun.
PS: Congratulations on 1,000 comments!
lol, the knights of change fighting the dust bunny hoards needs to be immortalized in a meme. Like that one with the Teddy bear fighting dragons.
7034747
who's counting comments? I track up-votes versus views. Currently 90% of everyone who comes here doesn't like this story, and 1% hate it! But no seriously that's so awesome. I love people being interested with stuff I'm involved in. Makes me feel like I'm gonna be okay.
Too bad she can only improve from where she started, as she gets more accustomed to her new body and her new situation.
Because she isn't a human infant, or a newborn pony, but something else entirely. Because learning how to walk is a lot less complicated than re-learning how to walk. Just ask stroke victims. Also because I just wanted to. And it seems long because I write at a glacial pace. The story has barely covered a week so far, in its own timeline.
Just wait until she catches them loving and tolerating each other!
7038321
Or Lobster Dog calling Book Fort?

...huh. Not sure what I've been doing then.

Evil twins time?
As someone whose majority of friends are of the opposite sex, I hope this is just Rarity's opinion, or your own interpretation of Equestria, and you don't honestly think this is true.
Yeah I can see that! I see a lot of guys with baseball style hats.
Couldn’t help but think of this. 1:16

It doesn’t say who said this. I’d imagine MC to ask, “Who’re you?”
