Overpowered? Nah. Iron Will looks to be plenty powerful, and considering scale, a balrog would be even more. Besides, he has the typical Barbarian/Berserker patterns. Bet the crap out of stuff, wake up with the party cleric/medic fussing over you.

So yeah, I'd be the barbarian meat shield blindly taking damage while crushing the opposition, and getting fussed over by my friends, actually happened several times when bullies would try to gang up on my pals at school. I only avoided expulsion thanks to eyewitnesses and video footage proving I always did it in defense of either myself or others.

Curious introduction to the Displaced verse. The scope of Bronze's domain is pretty vast. Recovering the paper industry shouldn't be too hard. True, Equestrians might not want to cut down a lot of trees, but earth ponies might be able to spur the growth of lower grade plant material to use in paper production... (Making paper is fun, by the way. Tad time consuming, particularly when you only have a few small moulds, but fun.)
As a side note: apathetic [and/or] self professed 'not caring' characters like Dox annoy me for some reason...
