Directly following the events of “Keep Calm and Flutter On” Discord and Celestia call each other out on these little ‘disclaimers’ and try to explain their words while still maintaining their new friendship. They soon agree on some interesting conditions for Discord’s recent reform, leading to the castle, some Royal Canterlot Voice from Luna, cake, and an interesting night and morning as Discord figures out how to relate to his former princess foes in a much less evil (if as obnoxious as ever) sort of way. He especially enjoys his new ‘friendly’ way of bothering Celestia.
Later, following Tirek’s defeat (and Discord’s final reform), the chaos master and the sun princess assess how their friendship has gone and where it might go from here. Luna throws in her two bits as well. Naturally, cake is eaten. And, of course, no matter how reformed he may become, Discord ‘loves’ teasing Celestia as much as ever…and it’s sort of grown on Celestia too.

Oh, bravo! This is flowing very naturally. The only part that seemed forced at all was when he called her beautiful--everything else was absolutely believable and spot on. I love you have Celestia reacting in ways that show both her immediate emotional reactions and how those reactions are tempered with the wisdom of her maturity. And the little hints of a deeper Discord are proving to be just adorable.

This was a hilariously funny story.
Though this version of Discord is not necessarily like my preferred version I think it was the perfect choice for this story and worked very well.

I enjoyed it tremendously and the dynamic you established between Discord and Celly really has grown on me.
Although this Discord somehow don't want to fit into my personal headcanon of his character quite as well as your Celly I like him very much nonetheless.
One reason for me to usually dislike Celly, incidentally, has been just her professionalism and stiffness that you had Discord mentioning.
Seeing her livening up so much really does her character wonders.
Also, I don't know if it's been intentional but your narrative has mirrored Discord's jumpiness and chaos in a very entertaining way.
The chapter's been constantly playing with the readers mood. Jumping from romance, to facepalm and back to romance in a snap.
That has been a criminally good way to bind my interest and keeping the suspense at a constant level.
(Though I might add, that the effect also could wear of if used over too long a period of time.)
I said it, probably a hundred times already, but I really do like the way you are telling this story. It's immensely entertaining to read.

I came here for the romance, I stayed for... Discord.
Seriously - that guy's a jerk. I like to dislike him. He's the most funny prankster around, even beating Luna to it. He's annoying, he's unpredictable, he's a walking, floating, flying, sometimes even breathing catastrophe for every plan and order. And you captured that. More so, this was one of the - if not the - best portrayals of his character I came across so far. He's playful, he's a trickster, he's chaotic - but he isn't a cruel meanypants. He's perfectly Discord. It was so enjoyable to read, I can't thank you enough for that! No unnecessary fourth-wall-jokes, too. No all-the-time over-the-top. It was... refreshing. A relief.
Celestia was good too, don't get me wrong. It's just that her character doesn't seem to be as tricky as his. There are quite a lot of stories out there portraying her perfectly fine. But sadly, it's rare to see Discords character captures that well.
I especially liked the tension between those two. Even at the end, I couldn't say how things would turn out in the long run. Heck, I still can't tell if he actually confessed some sort of romantic feelings towards her or not. It opens up possibilities. Enough space for interpretation. Their chemistry was just wonderful.

5661126 That’s exactly my take on Discord too—you hate him because he’s such a cheesy, selfish, random jerk (not mean or evil, but truly a first class jerk) but at the same time you love hating him, and it’s just a good time to watch him work. I’m so glad you thought I captured him well, thank you!
I love trying to write him pretty much because he’s such an odd/tricky character to try writing,--there’s no set pattern for him but there’s definitely a way for him to be that works. I applaud Faust for coming up with him as a character and for how the MLP writing staff have developed him—he’s become the most complicated character on the show in a lot of ways, and I only hope we can see more of him in the future. But anyway I’m happy my presentation of him in this story came off well and that you enjoyed it 
And I’m also very happy you liked his chemistry with Celestia. In this case I wanted to leave things a little vague just because I know not everyone ships them but at the same time I think those two could just become incredibly close friends even if they didn’t take it to the next level. They compliment each other in this weird way that I really like exploring SMILE.
