What do you do when you're having a dull/stressful/confusing/boring Hearts and Hooves Day? Most ponies would probably go get chocolate and just wait for the romance in the air to pass. The master of chaos, however, wouldn't dream of having such a predictable response. Instead he goes to Princess Celestia to lodge a formal complaint about the holiday as a confusing mess of emotions and illogical social policy to which no creature should be subjected!

Of course, with a little prying, Celestia gets out of Discord the real reason he's complaining about the day. And she happens to have the perfect friendly solution to turn his stubborn pout back into a warm smirk. And in the process, the two former enemies get to know each other just a little better.

(So much fluff. If you're looking for a cuddly read for Valentine's Day, you have come to the right place).

That was actually really cute.
I am such a sucker for fluff.

Is this anthro or human or something? If not, where is Celestia getting all these arms? Perhaps "arm in warm [sic]" should be "arm in wing"? Otherwise you'd think she'd have quite a bit of difficulty walking.

6928556 I think calling all of her limbs 'legs ' would get confusing after a while, and that referring to her upper appendages as 'front legs' would start to get a little wordy and distracting. Besides, ponies seem to use the front legs the same way people use their arms. Either way I think it's fine to use the word 'arms' in narration as long as the ponies themselves don't call their front legs arms. But that's just me. I'm sorry if there was any confusion though--the story is definitely not anthro.

. Applejack says her family just exchanges cards with each other.

:rainbowhuh: You know, that has some implications...

6930280 Incest is the best: A Collection of Incest Jokes
(Read it, I incest)
What do you call an incestuous nephew?
An aunt-eater. :ajbemused:

I think my uncle was a ventriloquist,He used to put his hand up my butt and tell me not to talk. :trixieshiftleft:

A man takes his nine year old daughter to the doctor. After several hours in the waiting room, (NHS...) they"re called in."Hello," the doctor says. "How can I help you?"The man nods, "It"s my daughter, I was wondering if you could put her on birth control.""Birth control?" the doctor is incredulous. "She"s too young to be sexually active!""Sexually active?" the father says, "She just lies there like her mother!" :fluttercry:

I saw a Childline ad the other day that said, "Sarah's uncle forces her to do things she's too young to understand".Eh? It's not rocket science: You just give it a few tugs and white goo comes out. Kids these days really are thick, aren't they? :raritydespair:

AND HERE'S AN ANIMAL JOKE

An old lady’s cat gives birth to a litter of kittens. She says to the vet, “How could it have happened? She never leaves the house. How could she meet another cat?” “What about that tom sitting on the sofa?” asks the vet. “Don’t be ridiculous ,” says the old lady. "That's her brother.":twilightsheepish:
Anyway, I'm done. :scootangel:

Rainbow Dash thinks this holiday is icky

does she? :rainbowhuh:

6945038 Lol, even if she secretly doesn't, I think that's probably the response she'd give Discord just to seem cool and like all the mushy stuff doesn't get to her :raritywink:

6947677 yeah, she doesn't want to look like a softy.

Why is every Dislestia story such a trash? Maybe because both Celestia and Discord are OOC in their stories and would never really end up together? Yup, probably because every dislestia shipper just see Celestia as her self insertion while the poor Alicorn need to cope up with their delusion in fictional stories where she is matched with a creature she would never date.

6995075 If you don't care for Dislestia stories, and if they upset you so much that you actually feel compelled to leave rude and unhelpful comments on other people's stories, I might advise that you stop reading Dislestia stories. I think it would help relieve a lot of anxiety in your life.

That being said, just as a comment on your capacity to critique, it's difficult to take seriously an argument against a story when all you do is make general sweeping statements about your own personal fiction preferences which are subjective (and which are also of a lot less interest to others than you think when you present them so poorly).

That also being said, I do hope that, whichever couples you ship on the show, being negative about couples you don't like doesn't take away from your time enjoying the pairings you do support. I've always found shipping to be one of the most fun aspects of being a fan. Please don't ruin it for yourself by spending so much energy hating on what other people like instead of celebrating what you like

Aaww so sweet! That was awesome!

“Like a thousand Hearts and Hooves Day cards cried out to be delivered…and were.” He laughed.

Is that an Obi Wan reference I see? You clever writer.

7977653 Yay, someone called me out on it, lol! Thanks, and thanks for adding the story to your bookshelf :yay:

No problem. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this of it.

Sweet, silly, and very good Dislestia! Seeing stories about these two and the quality of this one put a smile on my face. Discord would be one to go to such lengths to get a card, too.
