Every year Canterlot puts on a play on Hearth's Warming Eve to celebrate the season. And while the traditional Founders Play will still be done, this year Princess Twilight Sparkle, at the suggestion of Princess Celestia to 'liven things up', has decided to put on a second play: the musical Les Petits Poneys. A tale of redemption, loss, and love, Twilight just knows that it will be a hit. But things rarely go as planned. With Twilight changing up roles to make the play more species-friendly, many of the actors failing to memorize their lines, ad libbing that totally changes the story, perfomrers using the play to achieve their own personal goals and desires, and other plays somehow bumbling their way into the production, this show will be one to truly remember.
Starring Twilight Sparkle, Shining Armor, Princess Cadence, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Cheese Sandwich, Spike, Iron Will, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and with guest appearances from many of your favorite characters, Les Petits Poneys will be the comedic event of the season.

This is already proving to be a wonderful disaster, I fear for any nearby tables. A good start although I'm slightly confused about the Finland song, but I liked the puns for some of other plays and eager to see both how much this play will derail and Twilight's ongoing battle with sanity.

This seems to be set at some point where Twilight is still Celestia's apprentice. Probably the last Heart's Warming before the coronation. Or maybe it's earlier, considering Luna's speech patterns are the way they are.
I hope this takes place in the Scootaverse, doesn't matter if this is canon or not to that verse.
If it does take place before the coronation, then it's still before Queen Cheesy is pardoned, but she is an natural actress, and the Goddess of Drama, so I'm sure she'll find a way to be part of the play her dear Shiny is acting in.
I know I'm already overanalyzing, but I will still enjoy this as the lighthearted spoof it is supposed to be.

Rarity as Eponine and Spike as Marius is a stroke of genius. As is Pinkie and Cheese as the inn keepers. Scootaloo as young-Cosette I understand for the sake of having a pegasus in both parts. but I think she'd do a better Gavroche or is she double cast like Rarity? (can't think who else she's playing) Though I'm curious who the other five Mariuses (Marii? Mariode? I hate when plurals don't sound right no matter what you do) were. I hope at some point you give us a cast list for the play itself. I'm trying to figure out who Rainbow is playing.
