DerpRavener

T

A changeling in exile, wandering without purpose, encounters a small Equestrian town with expectations of meeting his end. He is not prepared for what he finds.

Made for the Outside Insight Summer Fanfic Contest, which I almost didn't realize was happening. As a result this may be a bit shorter and a bit more rushed than I'd like, though I still enjoyed making it.

Squeal?

Well, you could definitely make more of the story so that's a plus. However, it would probably be better if Kreight's character was a bit more rounded off. (He seemed to jump about a little to me) I give it a 7.5 out of 10.

If you meant sequel, I'm thinking about it. I've got a few ideas, but they're kinda thin and scattered, and there are other things I'm focusing on at the moment.

If you are talking about something else, I'm afraid you'll have to rephrase it.

Well, worse than I hoped, but better than I feared. The whole story is a bit short given what happens, and to be honest he was in some ways more of a proxy for a particular culture/mindset than his own character. You also see him in a wider than usual range of situations.
So yeah, there being more of it would probably help a lot, and if I end up doing that I'll probably end up expanding a lot more on him as a character.

Thanks for the input.

4856949 Heh I meant to say Sequel

Thats good start for some larger story especially with how non naive is our changeling character.
It would be for sure something fresh outside of standard exiled naive changeling who reform etc etc

That was cute. Quite short and not very in-depth, but that's to be expected for writing this for a contest that you didn't know was happening until two weeks in. Well done!

He's naive to an extent, he doesn't really understand the society he's currently in, but he does have a firm understanding of a society, and he's going to apply that.
I am thinking about continuing it, though there are a couple other things I intend to work on first.
I'm glad you enjoyed.

Thank you! In many ways, I'm trying not to fall back onto it too much as it was my mistake in some ways, but I still think it bears mentioning. There are a few parts of this that I think might be better through out, had I given myself more time.
Ahh well, I'm actually pretty happy with it overall.
