While trying out a new animation spell, Twilight Sparkle is interrupted suddenly by Rainbow Dash. But the pegasus’s sudden crash into Twilight’s library causes more than just a mess of books to clean up. The unicorn’s spell goes wild and ends up trapping Rainbow Dash in her favorite book series, Daring Do. Now Rainbow Dash has to face life in a world of danger, action, and adventure as the assistant to Equestria’s most famous pony archeologist. And while she finds out that the adventures she reads about are bigger and more deadly in real life, her friends back in Ponyville are in a race against time to write a new ending to the story Rainbow’s trapped in and find a way to bring their Pegasus friend back to the real world.

To respond to your comments, this fanfiction was written before the episode "Daring Don't" aired, so I view that episode as having no bearing on this story for the fact that, while Daring Do is a real pony, having a version of herself in a book automatically makes that version "unreal", a separate entity of the real Daring Do herself, and that world separate from the real world. This is why Twilight's spell still worked on the book.

I totally understand that sinking feeling when you find a story that has a similar premise to yours. I felt so bad when "Daring Don't" aired, and it turned out that Daring Do was actually a real pony. I just stuck it out, though. Trust me, if you make the story 100% your own, then no one will question if it's copied, and you'll know that it's all yours. That's all that matters.
And, yes, I know this isn't one of the site's top stories, and yes, I was rejected by Equestria Daily, but that doesn't really matter to me. I write for myself, and if other people like it and enjoy my work, then that's just an added bonus.
