Silver Spoon is a grey filly with a braided mane who has a preference for wearing glasses. Despite having exceptional grades she is constantly getting in trouble along with another filly named Diamond Tiara.
She is the best friend of Diamond Tiara, a filly that not many ponies can claim to actually like. They are very close and even live in the same house.
Silver Spoon isn't actually a pony, nor is she technically alive.
And to a certain child, that fact could not matter in any less.

So the title is a reference to "A ghost inside the machine". And Silver Spoon is a robot. Owned by Diamond Tiara. That goes to school. This story could go so many ways. Followed by sheer intrigueness.

Silvy almost feels alive. She thinks and seems to act in certain ways. I'm liking it. It's almost like someone answered my prayers to read something beyond the copy-pasta of Silver stories out there. Though, it's even better than I'd wished for with how it's presented thus far. I really want to read more about this Silver and how Diamond will deal with the consequences should she fail.
Anyhow, great story so far. Hope to see more soon, when its ready.

Honestly no I sugest leaving the cover art as it is. I honestly didnt even consider the title being a play on words from a certain anime. You want people to keep guessing what Silver is till the very end when you reveal it like The Sixth Sense. What if we knew Bruce Willis was dead throughout the movie? It wouldnt have been as powerful. Great story by the way, tragic in a way regarding Diamond's unknown condition, Silver's composition and implied emotions and Filthy struggling as a father and a business stallion.

My immersion was kinda ruined by their having to completely shave their manes off to get rid of the gum. There's this much simpler solution called Peanut Butter. It's been around for decades. Works wonders for gum in hair. I just... find it hard to imagine that NO ONE knew about that 'remedy' that they all had to get their manes shaved off.

Wow I didn't know peanut butter could do that! You'd think that it would make the situation worse considering that it is also kind of sticky. I'm sorry I wasn't completely informed on the subject, I'll try to not let it happen again. If it helps at all, you could theorize that there was so much gum that the peanut butter would have been ineffective or that the gum had some unusual properties or something like that.
I will try address it in a future chapter.

I liked the addition of "horseless carriages" to the plot but I find it hard to believe that robots were created before automobiles. Minor detail, that doesn't at all take away from the story.
Loved Silver's dry dialogue and her interaction with Cheerilee that unnerved her teacher. I just hope this doesn't take a dark turn and Silver going Terminator on those who challenge Diamond.

I've been real busy with work and school plus my overall slowness in writing. I've been also focusing on non pony stuff and haven't really had the gumption to do pony fiction. But you know what?
