We have two references to the great movie, called Zombieland, 1/3 of the mane 6, Trixie and some addition.
Rainbow is deliciously out of character (I highly approve it! :D ) and Twilight seems to be in a fight with her already, over Jaeger.
Oh boy, I have been waiting for something similar to happen (thinking about Dashie, I mean), I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Also, the closing scene of the chapter, with that (probably) Shade... hm. Makes me think. Jaeger knows the kind, however, Rainbow, who has been hiding from them, can't recognize the sound. Interesting.
Aaanyway, I'm on the side of our broken-minded Pegasus, in the means of 'dibs on Jaeger'! xD

Due to her OOC behavior, I'm going to assume that either Rainbow Dash saw a lot of her personal friends/family getting killed in Cloudsdale or she took a really bad blow to the head at one point and it's messing with her personality. I'm guessing that it's the former.

No, bad pone! You don't feed a starved being a lot of food! The shock their system takes by being provided such rich food after such a long time can end up killing them! It's known as Refeeding syndrome...
What in the FUCK is their body type!? In the beginning you said that a guy had broken his FINGERS...but then you say that they're ponies with fur...THEN YOU SAY THEY WEAR CLOTHES...and then you say "They walked on two legs" like Twilight hadn't seen that kind of body before. WHAT ARE THEY!?!? I feel like you can't make up your mind between anthro and feral. It's confusing and painful to try and understand!

Well... They better hope that the virus doesn't work like the virus in The Walking Dead. Basically, everyone is already infected and death/severe physical damage triggers it.

Pedant mode activated! A defibrillator is used to deal with arrhythmic heart beats and such. Restarting a heart calls for an injection atropine and adrenaline, followed by CPR. Then possibly the paddles to sort the heart beat out.

I love the concept of this story, it's a great idea and applaud you for thinking of it author. But it feels to happy, no suspense or anything because I know for a fact that in the end everyone is gonna be ok. I don't know, maybe it's just me but I think some characters (either from your little group or some more we meet along the way (and not just ocs, cannon characters should so we get attached and want to see what happens)) need to die at some point
