Gabriel LaVedier

Just another University-edicated fanfiction writer who prefers the cheers and laughter of ponies to madness and sorrow.

Even though it gets too nasty for my confort at the end, I do appreciate the Shout-out. Just a quick question. The mare at the begining. Is she based on the G-1 pony Gypsy?

4244579

Nope. Just me forgetting Aurelina's color scheme.

I almost had the ending be more overt by saying either "Congratulations, Mrs. Apple" or "Congratulations, Eugenia."

4244597

This looks like a skip.

I came into this rather expecting something bloody disgusting and hilarious cause of the 120 Days of Blueblood stamped in the summary. But then again, Gabby's style ain't that. Absurd and humorous, yes, but bloody hilarity, no.

A lot of your views on maturity and immaturity are showcased in here, eh Gabby?

4247621

By and large, yes. Smug ignoble nobility who thinks the accident of birth made him better than everyone. Also that cultural differences deserve death. I also wanted to show from whence Blueblood's Nemesis comes. Hubris (or hybris) is a deadly game.

4247423

It's worth a read just from a story perspective.

4278683

The tags and description say otherwise.

A shame. Much like "Etiamsi Omnes" I feel proud of this. I tend to feel positive about my 'reaction' stories because they mean something.

................................................................................................

I have to riff it. Fuck.

4614145 120 Days of Twow

4614145

What makes it necessary? It is sufficient in itself and fine. But I do wish to know what makes the riffing imperative.

4615858 Because I riffed the original 120 Days.

4624486

Wow. That's rather a compliment. To be on par with Bronystories. It makes me proud.

“As you said, Kako, he is Rom Baro. He chose this fate.”

Ka(-)ko means two things if said correctly, Kako means Uncle or "This"

Baro means big, the correct pronounciation of it is Bah-Doh but the Euro one is said with an 'R' sound because accents

Bagatelle! The Wheel of Fortune!”

Bagatelle means "They are Lucky" , (Bahch-teh-le)

The guards had had their fun with one already and as far as he knew she had been properly taken care of

You might not know but when it comes to family a lot of gypsies will kill without hesitation, those that do usually dont have papers or lots of fake documents and can get away with it quite easy but those that do usually hire someone else to do the work for them.

“He talks us to all fates. He is the drabani-

Drabalni* theres an L amd it means "She who palmreads" the 'ni' at the end signifies thats its a she and not a he, if it were a he itd end with 'no' (Dra-baal-nee)

"-Mea culpa-"

trying to say this in differents ways but ive never heard or said this in my life, sounds spanish though.

“Vita, dulcedo et spes nostra, salve! Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes in hac lacrimarum valle! O clemens, O pia, O dulcis meretrix Fortuna!”

lolwut is this language?

“Etiamsi omnes, ego non. Etiamsi omnes, ego non. Etiamsi omnes, ego non...”

we dont speak this language

Anywaaaays all in all this was not bad, not good either, but not terrible either. Just an interesting read.

It's Latin, actually. I was raised Catholic and learned most of the prayers in three languages (English, Spanish, Latin, in that order.) The Rover sort of converted them all to an odd sort of Catholic faith in Fortuna. The prayer is a madification of the "Salve Regina", while his statement at the end means "Even if all others, I never will."

I used the world as made by Bronystories. None would dare kill a guard in the city of the sisters. They're pure evil.

4936138

ah gotcha, though a very small percent if gypsies are catholic, bout a rough estimate of 5% (maybe less), 40% are christian, the rest are either dont believe in God or do believe but thats as far as it goes.

So i guess you kinda turned these gypsies into some kind of branching hivemind lol where anyone can become gypsy.

4938003

No, it's based on how Bronystories had it in his stories, an ethnicity. But their religious faith was changed because the Rover could prove he was in touch with Fortuna.

I'm really wondering what the point of this was. :/

Mythologizing. Flexing a few writing muscles. Reacting to "120 Days of Blueblood" with the approval of the creator. Pointing the spotlight of ugly depiction on rich and entitled wretches.

I rather wish you'd concentrated more on the mythologizing, not to mention the background of the gypsies. I was really intrigued by them, but then you went and killed them all off before they had a chance to do much. :(

Hey, just like in the original story. Heh. It was mostly intentional. To show
just how bigoted and thoughtless the othe ponies are.
