He's clinging to his beliefs in the most stressful time of his life to help him carry on. He's in denial and I'm working on a better explanation of his family for a later chapter.

You know I practically found it funny how our protagonist woke up to find Patches "playing" with Byron and Daisy. I do wonder if our hero will have to deal with more scenes like that or if the deer are going to come with them.

I really enjoyed Lucky's character. She was a fun flirt and she definitely managed to bond with Alex. Also, didn't expected the guy to be a cuddler. As for your clop scene...it was hot and I enjoyed the pillow talk between Alex and Lucky. Hope to see those two interacting more, as they would make a cute couple.
