I moved up close, probably startling the little fella as I wrapped my forelegs around him, resting my head on his, a bit to the side so his head spikes (I think griffins call it plumage, but I don’t know what it is on a dragon).

Kinda missing the rest of this sentence.

A cute little story that accomplishes what it set out to do. I'm glad to see Derpy interacting this way, and it's wonderful to see both of them portrayed as introspective. Good job!

Very sweet and beautiful. I loved Derpy moving her wings in time with his shoulderblades to truly let him feel like her was flying. It was beautifully written and really let me see how it'd be from Spike's POV. Bravo

I love how you've written Derpy. Making her a normal pony with a few quirks works so much better than the standard universally loved but dumb and/or pitied pony that so many fanfics portray her as. Thumbs up!
