I can't believe this is going to be the first comment in this fic but I really need to ask some questions:
Nine survivors from Krypton? Clark, Kara, Krypto, Zod, Ursa, Non and who else? And the possible guy who made it happen, it's Brainiac or someone else?
Is the avoiding to any mention of the human lanterns intentional? I mean the destruction of Xanshi by John Stewart's negligence also counts and has more significance because he was a senior Lantern back then.
The violet ring will eventually surpass Fluttershy's personality like with the early Star Sapphires?

Yes the avoidance is intentional (humans in Equestria trope and all trying to avoid that)...the ponies will find out about them...just not yet.
Tomar-Re was intentional. John was a veteran Lantern when in his arrogance he allowed Xanshi to be destroyed. Tomar was new at the job; a novice like AJ. Tomar made the mistake of thinking that things were more ok than they were, he was not arrogant or neglectful, he just thought there was more time. AJ made the same kind of mistake. (in addition...it was a friendly 'slap' a superman fan reading this story...in silver age Action Comics there is a story of how Tomar -Re shielded Kal-El's ship until it hyper jumped out...it was my way of saying 'that's right..the Man of Steel owes his life the the Green Lantern Corps!').
The elements are 'affecting' the rings...Love is more tempered....but:WATCH out for Cadence!
Now: a spoiler...or a teaser for later...there was one other reason for Tomar-Re...lets just say his death is of particular interest to...Twilight.

This is the problem with a compilation...some only write pieces, other carry bigger chunks (like me). I am one of many writers in the compilation. Truthfully I need to go back and write my own version of things that happend before this (like how Zacora was taken for example)...to [=FLESH=] out things. If you think that is IS a good Idea for me to do so, I would like to hear so either way. There is a lot..and as you can see, I have written a ton so far...and more to go. Little known fact.
This story is peppered with references galore....some are VERY old school.
Krypton's destruction as depicted is a mix of new and old. the new is Man of Steel, the old is World of Krypton by John Byrne in 1987. the Terrorist cell Black Zero used a weapon which resulted in Krypton's destruction in the future for the sin of killing clones.
Silver age Action Comics about Tomar-Re saving the ship escaping Krypton's destruction.
Spitfire's 'dad's proper' name is actually a slight alteration of the name of the designer of the Supermarine Spitfire, and the 'Fury' (her mom) was one of the fighters the mono wing Spitfire was supposed to replace.

I can imagine the red rinbg might try to recruit her if someone broke a pinkie Promise and she went berserk. But her Blue Ring would keep her safe.
